French President Nicolas Sarkozy stood on a 6-inch high frame to make up for his lack of inches at last weekend's D-Day commemorations. A video of the humiliating moment has been posted on YouTube and made him the laughing stock of France. An Elysee Palace employee confirmed the footstool was a useful accessory to make sure the president did not disappear behind lecterns designed for far taller world leaders.(See photo)
