Hardin, a small town in Montana in the US is requesting to receive the Guantanamo detainees if they are released from the controversial jail in Cuba in light of the proposal by President Obama in January, CNN reported. Hardin is one of the poorest towns in the US hoping to boost its local employment by receiving the detainees. The unemployment rate is above 10% in the town.
據(jù)美國有線新聞網(wǎng)報(bào)道，美國總統(tǒng)奧巴馬今年1月曾下令在一年內(nèi)關(guān)閉備受爭議的古巴關(guān)塔那摩監(jiān)獄，蒙大拿州哈丁鎮(zhèn)則希望在該監(jiān)獄關(guān)閉后能接收囚犯以拉動當(dāng)?shù)鼐蜆I(yè)。該鎮(zhèn)是蒙大拿州也是全國最貧困的地區(qū)之一，失業(yè)率達(dá)到10％以上。
