3月20日，白俄羅斯宣布，現(xiàn)任總統(tǒng)盧卡申科在19日舉行的總統(tǒng)選舉中以絕對(duì)優(yōu)勢(shì)獲勝，第三次當(dāng)選白俄羅斯共和國(guó)總統(tǒng)。對(duì)于盧卡申科的獲勝，以美國(guó)為首的西方國(guó)家提出強(qiáng)烈異議，指責(zé)其在選舉中有舞弊行為，要求白俄羅斯重新進(jìn)行選舉。
