請(qǐng)看外電報(bào)道中的這樣一句話：Pakistan hasdeployedthousands of troops in the area, fighting intense battles with militants and killing and capturing several of them.
報(bào)道中的deploy指的是“部署；調(diào)度”，我們通常所說的“部署（軍隊(duì)）”用的就是deploy這個(gè)詞。如，to deploy forces to check aggressions（部署軍隊(duì)以阻止侵略）。
Deploy還有“施展；利用”的意思，例如，to deploy all the forces of one's genius（施展自己的全部才能）；Efforts must be deployed to bring about a vigorous development in agriculture.（必須大力發(fā)展農(nóng)業(yè)。）
