About Author
Cormac McCarthy was born in Rhode Island on July 20, 1933. He went to the University of Tennessee in 1951. Two years later, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served four years. He returned to the university in 1957 and began to publish articles and novels. All the Pretty Horses, which was published in 1992 became a publishing sensation, and became a New York Times bestseller. It finally gave McCarthy the wide readership that had eluded him for many years.
科莫克·麥卡錫，1933年7月20日生于美國(guó)羅得島州，1951年就讀于田納西州立大學(xué)。1953年他加入美國(guó)空軍，服役四年之后重返大學(xué)，并開始陸續(xù)發(fā)表文章和小說。1992年出版的小說《駿馬》位居《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》銷量榜首，使他從此一舉成名。
