About Author
Cormac McCarthy was born in Rhode Island on July 20, 1933. He went to the University of Tennessee in 1951. Two years later, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served four years. He returned to the university in 1957 and began to publish articles and novels. All the Pretty Horses, which was published in 1992 became a publishing sensation, and became a New York Times bestseller. It finally gave McCarthy the wide readership that had eluded him for many years.
