Hello. My name is Mali. I go to the BBC website every day. It's good. I want to find out why British people tend to be less open about their salaries than the Chinese. Thanks.

Chinese people have often noticed that British people can react strangely when asked what their salary is.
This week Yang Li and William put this to the test by asking two of their colleagues how much they earn.
How will they respond?
They discuss a possible reason for the Brits' coyness in talking about money, which relates to the structure of their society.
They also discuss some other areas of cultural difference between China and Britain that might lead to a misunderstanding.
So if you want to know more about how British people talk about money then listen now.
