Flying Kites 放風(fēng)箏

Flying kites is an activity favored by many Chinese during Tomb-Sweeping Day. Kites are not only flown during the day time but also in the evening. Little lanterns are tied to the kite or to the kite string. And when the kites are flying in the sky, the lanterns look like twinkling stars at night. What makes flying kites during this day special is that people cut the string while the kite is in the sky to let it fly free. It is said this brings good luck and that diseases can be chased away by doing this.
清明節(jié)期間，放風(fēng)箏是許多中國(guó)人喜愛的活動(dòng)。白天和晚上都有人放風(fēng)箏。風(fēng)箏或線繩上會(huì)系上小燈籠。當(dāng)風(fēng)箏在天空中飛翔時(shí)，燈籠就像夜晚閃爍的星星。這一天放風(fēng)箏的特別之處在于，人們會(huì)在風(fēng)箏升空時(shí)剪斷風(fēng)箏線，讓風(fēng)箏自由飛翔。據(jù)說這樣做能帶來好運(yùn)，趕走疾病。
