“故宮零廢棄”項(xiàng)目開展近四年來，累計(jì)帶動(dòng)約3000位故宮工作人員、4萬名導(dǎo)游、2100萬人次觀眾加入共建綠色故宮行動(dòng)中。自2020年1月16日項(xiàng)目開展以來，故宮博物院內(nèi)合理部署垃圾桶點(diǎn)位，將開放區(qū)的垃圾桶數(shù)量由310組減少到110組，在保護(hù)遺產(chǎn)地風(fēng)貌的同時(shí)，也促使觀眾養(yǎng)成減少產(chǎn)生垃圾的習(xí)慣。

The Palace Museum is becoming waste-free as the 720,000-square-meter structure has managed to reduce the number of trash bins to 110 sets in areas open to the public. It is a decrease from 310 sets logged in January 2020, when a zero-waste campaign was launched, said the museum.
故宮博物院正在實(shí)現(xiàn)“零廢棄”，這座72萬平方米的建筑群自2020年1月項(xiàng)目開展以來，已將開放區(qū)的垃圾桶數(shù)量由310組減少到110組。

While protecting features of the six-century-old historical relic, the action also helps visitors and tourists get into the habit of creating less waste, said the museum.
故宮博物院表示，在保護(hù)這座擁有600年歷史的文物的同時(shí)，“故宮零廢棄”項(xiàng)目也促使游客養(yǎng)成減少產(chǎn)生垃圾的習(xí)慣。

The museum also recycled more than 32,000 plastic bottles to make cultural and creative products between June 2021 and October 2023, equivalent to a reduction in carbon emission by 931 kilograms.
故宮博物院還在2021年6月至2023年10月期間，累計(jì)回收使用廢棄塑料瓶3.2萬余只，開發(fā)文創(chuàng)產(chǎn)品，減少碳排放931千克。

By launching the campaign, the Palace Museum is taking a science-based and meticulous approach to waste. The target is to minimize the generation of waste that needs to be buried or burned and bring the amount of such waste infinitely close to zero, said the museum.
“故宮零廢棄”項(xiàng)目旨在采用科學(xué)精細(xì)的廢棄物管理方式，持續(xù)追求“將填埋/焚燒處理方式的垃圾減少至無限趨近于零”目標(biāo)。

So far, approximately 3,000 museum staff members, 40,000 tourist guides, and 21 million visitors have participated in the campaign.
