新華社北京9月16日電 中共中央總書記、國(guó)家主席、中央軍委主席習(xí)近平9月15日給東北大學(xué)全體師生回信，在東北大學(xué)建校100周年之際，向全校師生員工、廣大校友致以熱烈的祝賀和誠(chéng)摯的問候。

習(xí)近平在回信中說，東北大學(xué)自成立以來，始終以育人興邦為使命，形成了鮮明辦學(xué)特色，培養(yǎng)了大批優(yōu)秀人才，為國(guó)家、為民族作出了積極貢獻(xiàn)。

習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，站在新的起點(diǎn)上，希望東北大學(xué)全面貫徹黨的教育方針，弘揚(yáng)愛國(guó)主義光榮傳統(tǒng)，堅(jiān)持立德樹人，繼續(xù)改革創(chuàng)新，著眼國(guó)家戰(zhàn)略需求培養(yǎng)高素質(zhì)人才，做強(qiáng)優(yōu)勢(shì)學(xué)科，不斷推出高水平科研成果，為推動(dòng)?xùn)|北全面振興、推進(jìn)中國(guó)式現(xiàn)代化作出新的更大貢獻(xiàn)。

東北大學(xué)創(chuàng)辦于1923年。新中國(guó)成立以來，該校在人才培養(yǎng)、科技創(chuàng)新等方面發(fā)揮積極作用，為國(guó)家經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)和東北振興作出了重要貢獻(xiàn)。近日，東北大學(xué)全體師生給習(xí)近平總書記寫信，匯報(bào)學(xué)校百年辦學(xué)實(shí)踐，表示將抓住新時(shí)代東北全面振興提供的重要機(jī)遇，為建設(shè)國(guó)家、報(bào)效桑梓積極貢獻(xiàn)力量。

Xi replies to letter from faculty, students at Northeastern University

Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on the faculty and students at Northeastern University to make greater contributions to the full revitalization of northeast China and Chinese modernization.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in a reply letter sent Friday, in which he extended his congratulations on the university's 100th anniversary and greetings to its faculty members, students and alumni.

Since its inception, Northeastern University has cultivated a large number of talent, making positive contributions to the country as well as the nation, said Xi.

He expressed his hopes that the university could cultivate more high-caliber talent based on the country's strategic needs, expand its leading edge in strong disciplines, and continue to produce high-level scientific research results.

Northeastern University was founded in 1923. Its faculty and students recently wrote to Xi, vowing to seize the opportunities brought about by the full revitalization of the northeast and contribute more to the country.
