New spacesuit for return to the Moon unveiled 美國國家航空航天局發(fā)布新一代登月航天服

Nasa executives call it 'the spacesuit for a new generation' – one which in 2025 will take astronauts back to the Moon for the first time in 50 years.

The new suit was designed to withstand the harsh lunar surface without sacrificing flexibility. In a press conference, chief engineer James Stein put on the suit and squatted, knelt and crouched to show its range of motion.
這套新航天服的設(shè)計(jì)初衷是讓宇航員在不失靈活性的前提下經(jīng)受住惡劣的月球表面環(huán)境。在一次媒體發(fā)布會上，負(fù)責(zé)開發(fā)航天服的總工程師詹姆斯·斯坦穿上航天服，完成了下蹲、下跪和俯身下蹲，以展示航天服的靈活性。
The suit was specifically built with both male and female astronauts in mind – vital for the Artemis Project, which has pledged to land the first woman on the Moon.
