中共中央總書(shū)記、國(guó)家主席、中央軍委主席習(xí)近平2月9日給第19批援助中非共和國(guó)的中國(guó)醫(yī)療隊(duì)隊(duì)員回信，向他們以及廣大援外醫(yī)療隊(duì)員致以問(wèn)候并提出殷切期望。

習(xí)近平在回信中說(shuō)，你們?cè)谥蟹强朔ぷ魃钌系睦щy，用心服務(wù)當(dāng)?shù)孛癖?，既是救死扶傷的白衣天使，也是傳遞情誼的友好使者。今年是中國(guó)援外醫(yī)療隊(duì)派遣60周年，謹(jǐn)向正在和曾經(jīng)執(zhí)行援外醫(yī)療任務(wù)的同志們致以誠(chéng)摯的慰問(wèn)。

習(xí)近平指出，中國(guó)人民熱愛(ài)和平、珍視生命，援外醫(yī)療就是生動(dòng)的體現(xiàn)。希望你們不忘初心、牢記使命，大力弘揚(yáng)不畏艱苦、甘于奉獻(xiàn)、救死扶傷、大愛(ài)無(wú)疆的中國(guó)醫(yī)療隊(duì)精神，以仁心仁術(shù)造福當(dāng)?shù)厝嗣瘢詫?shí)際行動(dòng)講好中國(guó)故事，為推動(dòng)構(gòu)建人類衛(wèi)生健康共同體作出更大貢獻(xiàn)。

援外醫(yī)療是我國(guó)援外工作的重要內(nèi)容。1963年，我國(guó)向阿爾及利亞派出第一支援外醫(yī)療隊(duì)。60年來(lái)，累計(jì)向非洲、亞洲、美洲、歐洲和大洋洲的76個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)派遣醫(yī)療隊(duì)員3萬(wàn)人次，診治患者2.9億人次，贏得國(guó)際社會(huì)廣泛贊譽(yù)。目前，援外醫(yī)療隊(duì)在全球56個(gè)國(guó)家的115個(gè)醫(yī)療點(diǎn)工作，其中近一半在偏遠(yuǎn)艱苦地區(qū)。近日，第19批援中非中國(guó)醫(yī)療隊(duì)的11名隊(duì)員給習(xí)近平總書(shū)記寫(xiě)信，匯報(bào)學(xué)習(xí)貫徹黨的二十大精神、為當(dāng)?shù)孛癖娞峁┽t(yī)療服務(wù)等情況，表達(dá)為推動(dòng)構(gòu)建人類衛(wèi)生健康共同體貢獻(xiàn)力量的決心。

Xi encourages Chinese medical personnel in Africa to deliver benefits to locals

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday encouraged members of a Chinese medical team sent to Africa to benefit local people with their medical proficiency and medical ethics, and to better present China to the world through their concrete actions.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in a letter replying to the 19th Chinese medical team dispatched to the Central African Republic.

In his letter, Xi praised the medical personnel for overcoming difficulties in work and life in providing services for local people, saying that they are not only saving lives, but also building friendship.

He extended his heartfelt regards to all those who are or were on China's international medical aid missions, as this year marks the 60th anniversary of the occasion when the country sent its first medical aid team abroad.

The Chinese people love peace and cherish lives, which is vividly illustrated by their efforts in international medical assistance, the letter says.

Xi called on the medical personnel to use their medical proficiency and ethics to benefit local people, and to better present China to the world through their concrete actions, thus making greater contributions to the building of a global community of health for all, according to the letter.

The 11 members of the team had written to Xi to report on how they had served local people there, expressing their resolve to help build a global community of health for all.

Over the past six decades, China has sent medical teams consisting of 30,000 members to 76 countries and regions across five continents, providing 290 million diagnoses and treatments for local people.

Chinese medical teams are currently working at 115 sites in 56 countries around the world, of which nearly half are in remote areas with harsh conditions.
