11月7日，國(guó)家主席習(xí)近平向國(guó)際竹藤組織成立二十五周年志慶暨第二屆世界竹藤大會(huì)致賀信。國(guó)際竹藤組織成立二十五周年志慶暨第二屆世界竹藤大會(huì)當(dāng)日在北京開(kāi)幕，主題為“竹藤——基于自然的可持續(xù)發(fā)展解決方案”，由國(guó)家林業(yè)和草原局與國(guó)際竹藤組織共同舉辦。

Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter on Monday to the Celebration of International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR)'s 25th Anniversary and the Second Global Bamboo and Rattan Congress. The Celebration of INBAR's 25th Anniversary and the Second Global Bamboo and Rattan Congress, themed "Bamboo and Rattan -- Nature-based Solutions for Sustainable Development," opened in Beijing on Monday. The event was co-hosted by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China and INBAR.

國(guó)際竹藤組織成立于1997年，是第一個(gè)總部設(shè)在中國(guó)的政府間國(guó)際組織，也是全球唯一一家專(zhuān)門(mén)致力于竹藤可持續(xù)發(fā)展的國(guó)際機(jī)構(gòu)，2017年成為聯(lián)合國(guó)大會(huì)觀察員。目前，有49個(gè)成員國(guó)和4個(gè)觀察員國(guó)，廣泛分布在非洲、亞洲、美洲和大洋洲，總部設(shè)在中國(guó)北京，在喀麥隆雅溫得、厄瓜多爾基多、埃塞俄比亞亞的斯亞貝巴、加納阿克拉和印度新德里設(shè)有5個(gè)區(qū)域辦事處。

在本次大會(huì)開(kāi)幕式上，中國(guó)政府與國(guó)際竹藤組織共同發(fā)起“以竹代塑”倡議。倡議旨在深化全球發(fā)展倡議合作，發(fā)揮竹子在減少塑料污染、代替塑料產(chǎn)品方面的突出優(yōu)勢(shì)和作用，為高能耗、難降解的塑料制品提供基于自然的解決方案，為加快落實(shí)聯(lián)合國(guó)2030年可持續(xù)發(fā)展議程作出積極貢獻(xiàn)。

中國(guó)政府歷來(lái)高度重視竹藤事業(yè)的發(fā)展，尤其是近十年來(lái)，在竹藤資源培育、竹藤生態(tài)保護(hù)、產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展、文化繁榮等方面取得長(zhǎng)足發(fā)展。黨的二十大對(duì)推進(jìn)綠色發(fā)展、應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化、推動(dòng)構(gòu)建人類(lèi)命運(yùn)共同體等作出了新的戰(zhàn)略部署，為中國(guó)新時(shí)代竹藤事業(yè)可持續(xù)發(fā)展指明了方向，也為促進(jìn)世界竹藤事業(yè)發(fā)展注入了強(qiáng)勁活力。

Since its founding, the organization has been committed to the protection, development and utilization of bamboo and rattan resources, and has played a constructive role in promoting global ecological and environmental protection as well as sustainable development. The Chinese government and the organization have joined hands to implement the Global Development Initiative and jointly launched the Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic Initiative to encourage countries to reduce plastic pollution, respond to climate change and accelerate the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
