China is advancing negotiations on joining the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, the Ministry of Commerce said Monday.
商務部22日表示，中國正在全面推進加入《數(shù)字經(jīng)濟伙伴關(guān)系協(xié)定》的談判進程。

The announcement follows the recent establishment of the work team for China's accession to the regional agreement.
日前，中國加入《數(shù)字經(jīng)濟伙伴關(guān)系協(xié)定》工作組已正式成立。

Last November, China filed an application to join DEPA, a new trade partnership agreement initiated by New Zealand, Singapore and Chile.
去年11月，中國正式提出加入申請，《數(shù)字經(jīng)濟伙伴關(guān)系協(xié)定》是由新西蘭、新加坡和智利發(fā)起的一種新型貿(mào)易伙伴協(xié)議。

As the second-largest digital economy in the world, China is speeding up its digital development and opening up in terms of rules, regulations and standards.
中國是全球第二大數(shù)字經(jīng)濟體，正在加快數(shù)字化發(fā)展，拓展規(guī)則、規(guī)制、標準等制度型開放。

As regards the global digital economy, China is willing to work with other countries to create an open and safe environment, share dividends and make further contributions, the ministry said.
商務部表示，在全球數(shù)字經(jīng)濟發(fā)展方面，中方愿與各國共同塑造開放、安全的數(shù)字經(jīng)濟發(fā)展環(huán)境，共享數(shù)字經(jīng)濟發(fā)展紅利，為推動全球數(shù)字經(jīng)濟發(fā)展作出積極貢獻。

The US’ top infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci announced Monday he plans to step down from his roles at the end of the year after more than 50 years of public service.

Fauci serves as US President Joe Biden's top medical advisor and director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

"After more than 50 years of government service, I plan to pursue the next phase of my career while I still have so much energy and passion for my field," Fauci said in a statement.
