> Chinese rail design standards win intl approval
國際鐵路聯(lián)盟發(fā)布中國制定的高鐵標(biāo)準(zhǔn)

Two international standards for high-speed railway infrastructure design and power supply, which were mainly drafted and developed by China, have been published by the International Union of Railways, demonstrating the nation's contribution to promoting the internationalization of high-speed railway standards.
日前，國際鐵路聯(lián)盟發(fā)布實(shí)施由我國主持制定的《高速鐵路設(shè)計(jì) 基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施》標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和《高速鐵路設(shè)計(jì) 供電》標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，體現(xiàn)了中國對推動(dòng)高鐵標(biāo)準(zhǔn)國際化的貢獻(xiàn)。

Led by experts from China, more than 20 professionals from a dozen countries, including France, Germany, Japan and Spain, spent four years drafting the two latest standards.
此次發(fā)布的兩項(xiàng)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)由中國組織專家主持，法國、德國、日本、西班牙等十余個(gè)國家的20余名專家參與，歷時(shí)4年編制而成。

By the end of last year, China's high-speed railway network stood at more than 40,000 kilometers, accounting for over two-thirds of the world's total high-speed rail.
截至2021年底，中國高鐵營運(yùn)里程突破4萬公里，占全球高鐵總里程的三分之二以上。

China's high-speed railway system spans different geographic conditions, including icy weather, frozen soil, mountainous areas and humid coastal areas, providing abundant experience in building high-speed rail.
中國高鐵系統(tǒng)跨越了不同地理?xiàng)l件，包括冰凍天氣、凍土、山區(qū)和潮濕的沿海地區(qū)，為高鐵建設(shè)提供了豐富經(jīng)驗(yàn)。

China is expected to see stable grain production this year, despite challenges including rare autumn floods last year, sporadic resurgences of COVID-19 cases and drastic fluctuations in the global farm produce market, said Liu Lihua, an official with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
農(nóng)業(yè)農(nóng)村部種植業(yè)管理司負(fù)責(zé)人劉莉華近日表示，盡管今年糧食生產(chǎn)遭遇了去年罕見的秋汛、新冠肺炎疫情多點(diǎn)散發(fā)、國際農(nóng)產(chǎn)品市場大幅波動(dòng)等挑戰(zhàn)，但預(yù)計(jì)今年糧食產(chǎn)量將保持穩(wěn)定。

The country saw its summer grain output increase by nearly 1.44 billion kg this year and has harvested over 60 percent of its early rice.

China is expected to secure a bumper autumn harvest, Liu said, adding that the planting area has seen steady expansion this year and the growth process of autumn grain crops is normal.
劉莉華表示，中國有望獲得一個(gè)大豐收，今年種植面積穩(wěn)步擴(kuò)大，秋糧作物生長過程正常。

> Chinese scientists make important oat discovery
我國科學(xué)家破譯裸燕麥基因密碼

Chinese scientists have inferred the origin of hexaploid oat from whole-genome sequencing, chloroplast genomes and transcriptome assemblies of different Avena species.
中國科學(xué)家從不同燕麥品種的全基因組測序全基因組重測序、葉綠體基因組和轉(zhuǎn)錄組測序組合中推斷出了六倍體燕麥的起源。

The research, jointly conducted by a team including scientists from Baicheng Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Jilin province and Sichuan Agricultural University in Sichuan province, was recently published in the international journal Nature Genetics.
這項(xiàng)研究由吉林省白城市農(nóng)業(yè)科學(xué)院和四川農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)的科學(xué)家組成的一個(gè)科學(xué)團(tuán)隊(duì)共同進(jìn)行，于近期發(fā)表在國際期刊《自然?遺傳學(xué)》上。

"Oat is an important cereal crop serving as a valuable source of forage and human food," said Ren Changzhong, director of Baicheng Academy and head of the team. "These findings and the high-quality reference genomes will facilitate the full use of crop genetic resources to accelerate oat improvement and molecular design breeding of cultivated oat."

> Japanese company designs upright ‘nap box’
日本發(fā)明專為打工人設(shè)計(jì)的"睡眠盒"

To help solve the issue of long office hours and overwork, two Japanese companies are working together to develop a “nap box” where users can sleep standing upright.

The nap box will have users sleep standing upright and will ensure comfort in the head, knees, and rear to support the user from falling over.

The communications director of Itoki, Kawashima Saeko, aims to provide a healthier option for employees who wish to take short naps during the workday.
