我國(guó)持續(xù)推進(jìn)新冠病毒疫苗接種工作，老年人群接種率正不斷提高。

More than 1.25 billion Chinese have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the end of Thursday, accounting for 88.74 percent of the country's total population, a Chinese health official said Friday.As of Thursday, about 3.35 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses had been administered across the Chinese mainland, and nearly 757 million people had received the booster jab, Wu Liangyou, an official with the National Health Commission, told a press conference.

國(guó)家衛(wèi)生健康委疾控局副局長(zhǎng)吳良有5月6日在新聞發(fā)布會(huì)上說(shuō)，截至5月5日，全國(guó)累計(jì)報(bào)告接種新冠病毒疫苗334970.2萬(wàn)劑次，已完成全程接種125104.2萬(wàn)人，全程接種人數(shù)占全國(guó)總?cè)丝诘?8.74%。完成加強(qiáng)免疫接種75642.3萬(wàn)人。

215.6 million senior residents has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, representing 81.67 percent of the population aged 60 and above.

截至5月5日，全國(guó)60歲以上老年人完成全程接種21562.4萬(wàn)人，占老年人口的81.67%。

A total of 162.3 million senior people had received a booster jab, said Wu Liangyou, an official with the National Health Commission.

吳良有介紹，老年人群加強(qiáng)免疫接種已完成16232.4萬(wàn)人。

COVID-19 vaccine has been proven effective in preventing severe conditions and deaths from the virus, Wu stressed, calling on the public to get fully vaccinated as soon as possible particularly given recent outbreaks of the virus across the country.

“近期國(guó)內(nèi)疫情防控形勢(shì)嚴(yán)峻復(fù)雜，實(shí)踐證明，接種新冠病毒疫苗對(duì)預(yù)防重癥和死亡等方面有良好效果?！眳橇加型瑫r(shí)強(qiáng)調(diào)，希望大家積極配合，按程序及時(shí)完成疫苗接種。
