>China's service trade up in Q1
一季度服務(wù)貿(mào)易增速達25.8%

China's service trade value grew 25.8 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2022, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed on Thursday. Total trade value stood at nearly 1.46 trillion yuan.
商務(wù)部5月5日發(fā)布的數(shù)據(jù)顯示，今年一季度，我國服務(wù)貿(mào)易繼續(xù)快速增長。服務(wù)進出口總額接近1.46萬億元，同比增長25.8%。

Service exports expanded 30.8 percent year-on-year to 713.98 billion yuan, and service imports were 743.01 billion yuan, up 21.3 percent from the year before.
其中服務(wù)出口7139.8億元，增長30.8%；進口7430.1億元，增長21.3%。

The growth of service trade exports outpaced import growth by 9.5 percentage points, resulting in a 56.4 percent drop in the service trade deficit to 29.03 billion yuan from the same period last year.
一季度服務(wù)出口增幅大于進口9.5個百分點，帶動服務(wù)貿(mào)易逆差下降56.4%至290.3億元。

Trade in knowledge-intensive services raked in 615.66 billion yuan, up 14.1 percent year-on-year.
一季度，知識密集型服務(wù)進出口6156.6億元，增長14.1%。

>Shanghai's major enterprises resume production
上海重點企業(yè)復(fù)工率超過70%

Over 70 percent of Shanghai's 1,800-plus major enterprises have resumed work and production amid the city's COVID-19 resurgence, according to a press conference on COVID-19 prevention and control held on Thursday. Industrial enterprises in Shanghai have made steady progress in resuming production, with the resumption rate of more than 660 key enterprises exceeding 90 percent.
來自5月5日上海市新冠肺炎疫情防控工作第174場新聞發(fā)布會的消息，截至目前，上海市工業(yè)企業(yè)復(fù)工復(fù)產(chǎn)有序推進，全市1800多家重點企業(yè)，復(fù)工率超過70%，其中首批660多家重點企業(yè)復(fù)工率超過90%。

> Fed raises interest rates by half point
美聯(lián)儲宣布加息50個基點

The US Federal Reserve on Wednesday raised its benchmark interest rate by a half percentage point, marking the sharpest rate hike since 2000 as it takes more aggressive steps to rein in the country’s highest inflation in four decades. The Federal Open Market Committee, the Fed's policy-making body, decided to raise the target range for the federal funds rate to 0.75 to 1 percent, the Fed said in a statement after a two-day policy meeting.
美聯(lián)儲決策機構(gòu)聯(lián)邦公開市場委員會5月4日在結(jié)束為期兩天的貨幣政策會議后發(fā)表聲明，宣布加息50個基點，將聯(lián)邦基金利率目標區(qū)間上調(diào)到0.75%至1%之間。這是自2000年以來加息幅度首次達到50個基點，顯示美聯(lián)儲正加大政策力度，以抑制40年來最高通脹水平的沖擊。

The committee also decided to begin reducing its holdings of Treasury securities, agency debt and agency mortgage-backed securities on June 1.
與此同時，美聯(lián)儲宣布將從6月1日起開始減少持有的美國國債、機構(gòu)債務(wù)和機構(gòu)抵押貸款支持證券。

>Over half of Americans have had COVID-19

More than half of Americans show signs of a previous COVID-19 infection, according to a new report released on April 26.

The findings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention came after researchers examined blood samples from more than 200,000 Americans and looked for virus-fighting antibodies created by infection, not vaccines.

They found signs of past infection rose dramatically between December and February, when the more contagious Omicron variant surged through the US.
