第二輪'雙一流'高校建設(shè)擴(kuò)容

China has added seven universities to a list of those it aims to elevate to world-class status, taking the total to 147. The second list of universities and disciplines included in the "double world-class project” was released by the ministries of education and finance, and the National Development and Reform Commission on Monday. Based on the monitoring statistics, results, and evaluation of the previous stage, a total of 147 universities and a range of disciplines have been selected in the second stage after optimized procedures and expert reviews.
第二輪“雙一流”建設(shè)高校及建設(shè)學(xué)科名單2月14日公布，共147所高校入選。根據(jù)首輪監(jiān)測數(shù)據(jù)和成效評價(jià)，教育部、財(cái)政部、國家發(fā)展改革委按照“總體穩(wěn)定，優(yōu)化調(diào)整”的原則，經(jīng)過“雙一流”建設(shè)專家委員會(huì)研究，確定了新一輪建設(shè)高校及學(xué)科范圍。

The new additions to the list include Shanxi University, Xiangtan University in Hunan province and Nanjing Medical University in Jiangsu province. All of the 140 universities in the project's first list, released in 2017, remained on the latest list.
第二輪“雙一流”名單中新增了山西大學(xué)、湘潭大學(xué)、南京醫(yī)科大學(xué)等7所高校。2017年進(jìn)入第一輪“雙一流”名單的140所高校全部進(jìn)入了第二輪"雙一流"建設(shè)高校名單。

>5-year plan for emergency management system
'十四五'國家應(yīng)急體系規(guī)劃發(fā)布

China's State Council has issued a plan to advance the construction of its emergency management system over the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).
國務(wù)院近日發(fā)布《“十四五”國家應(yīng)急體系規(guī)劃》。

The plan calls for deepening the modernization of the system and capability of China's emergency management and minimizing losses from disasters and accidents to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
《規(guī)劃》旨在深入推進(jìn)應(yīng)急管理體系和能力現(xiàn)代化，最大限度降低災(zāi)害事故損失，全力保護(hù)人民群眾生命財(cái)產(chǎn)安全。

By 2025, a unified, quick-response, and coordinated emergency management mechanism with higher levels of scientific and technological information and comprehensive support systems will be built. The construction of emergency rescue forces will be fully enhanced, said the plan.
《規(guī)劃》提出，到2025年，形成統(tǒng)一指揮、專常兼?zhèn)洹⒎磻?yīng)靈敏、上下聯(lián)動(dòng)的中國特色應(yīng)急管理體制，應(yīng)急救援力量建設(shè)全面加強(qiáng)，科技信息化水平和綜合保障能力大幅提升。

The plan also said that an emergency response system with Chinese characteristics to achieve socialist modernization should be established by 2035.
到2035年，建立與基本實(shí)現(xiàn)現(xiàn)代化相適應(yīng)的中國特色大國應(yīng)急體系。

>Beijing 2022 the most gender-balanced Games
北京冬奧女運(yùn)動(dòng)員比例創(chuàng)新高

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has declared the Beijing 2022 Winter Games to be "the most gender-balanced" Winter Games in history.
古巴拉丁美洲通訊社報(bào)道稱，國際奧委會(huì)表示，本屆冬奧會(huì)是歷史上“性別最均衡”的一屆冬奧會(huì)。

The Beijing Winter Olympics has "women accounting for a record 45 percent of the athletes," reported Cuba-based news agency Prensa Latina, citing data released by IOC.
拉丁美洲通訊社援引國際奧委會(huì)的數(shù)據(jù)報(bào)道稱，北京冬奧會(huì)女性運(yùn)動(dòng)員的參賽比例達(dá)到創(chuàng)紀(jì)錄的45%。

According to IOC Sports Director Kit McConnell, of the 2,902 athletes competing at the games, 1,325 are women, an unprecedented ratio at a Winter Games, said the agency.
國際奧委會(huì)體育總監(jiān)基特?麥康奈爾表示，本屆冬奧會(huì)共有2902名運(yùn)動(dòng)員參賽，其中女性占到1325名，這一比例在冬奧會(huì)的歷史上前所未有。

>Beijing unearths 5,000 cultural relics in 2021
去年北京考古出土文物約5000件

New progress was made in Beijing's archaeological work and the protection of large archaeological sites, with 120 excavation projects covering an area of 116,000 square meters and about 5,000 cultural relics unearthed, said Liu Hongchang, spokesperson for the Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau, at a press conference on Sunday.
2月13日，北京市文物局發(fā)言人劉洪昌表示，2021年，去年北京考古工作和大遺址保護(hù)取得新進(jìn)展，考古發(fā)掘項(xiàng)目120項(xiàng)、發(fā)掘面積11.6萬平方米，出土文物約5000件(套)。

Four archaeological sites in Beijing - Zhoukoudian site, Liulihe Site, Dabaotai Han Dynasty Tomb (202 BC - 220 AD) and Ding Mausoleum of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) - were selected as China's "One hundred Archaeological discoveries".
周口店遺址、琉璃河遺址、大葆臺漢墓、明定陵4處考古遺址入選中國“百年百大考古發(fā)現(xiàn)”。
