A State Council executive meeting on Wednesday reviewed and approved a plan to digitalize government services nationwide during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025). China will accelerate the construction of a digital government to improve administrative services, according to the meeting, which was chaired by Premier Li Keqiang.
國務(wù)院總理李克強(qiáng)11月17日主持召開國務(wù)院常務(wù)會議，審議通過"十四五"推進(jìn)國家政務(wù)信息化規(guī)劃，加快建設(shè)數(shù)字政府、提升政務(wù)服務(wù)水平。

Accordingly, the country should create a national digital government network to improve regional and interagency information sharing, and ensure its digital public services cover more sectors and become more accessible, according to the meeting. It also needs to increase the use of digital technologies during major emergencies and encourage the digitalization of market regulation, the meeting said.
會議指出，要構(gòu)建統(tǒng)一的國家電子政務(wù)網(wǎng)絡(luò)體系，推動地方、部門實(shí)現(xiàn)信息共享；在多個領(lǐng)域提供更便捷的電子政務(wù)公共服務(wù)；深化數(shù)字技術(shù)在重大突發(fā)事件應(yīng)急處置中的應(yīng)用；加強(qiáng)市場監(jiān)管信息化建設(shè)。

>China, US reach consensuses on journalist visas
中美就媒體簽證問題達(dá)成共識

After multiple rounds of consultations, China and the United States have reached three agreements on their visa policies for journalists based on the principles of mutual respect, reciprocity and mutual benefit, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said at a daily press briefing on Wednesday.
外交部發(fā)言人趙立堅11月17日在例行記者會上答問時證實(shí)，經(jīng)過多輪磋商，近日中美雙方本著相互尊重、對等互惠的原則就媒體簽證問題達(dá)成三項(xiàng)共識。

The two sides agreed to ensure that journalists from either country currently based in the other country can enter and leave that country normally on the premise of strictly observing laws and consular regulations.
雙方相互保障在對方國家工作的現(xiàn)任常駐記者在嚴(yán)格遵守防疫政策和領(lǐng)事規(guī)定前提下可正常進(jìn)出對方國家。

They also agreed to issue one-year multiple entry visas to journalists from the other country.
雙方同意為對方國家記者頒發(fā)一年多次入境簽證。

Both parties will approve visas on an equal footing for new journalists who meet application requirements in accordance with laws and regulations.
雙方將依法依規(guī)為符合申請要求的新任常駐記者對等審批簽證。

>Nation's first F1 driver
周冠宇成為中國首位F1車手

Racing young gun Zhou Guanyu has made motor racing history after being named China's first Formula One driver. Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN announced on Tuesday the 22-year-old will join their team for the 2022 season, with the opening race scheduled for the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain on March 20. Zhou's teammate at Alfa Romeo will be Finnish racing veteran Valtteri Bottas, 32.

"Becoming an F1 driver has always been my dream, and I'm really excited to finally fulfill that dream," Zhou told China Daily in an exclusive interview. "I'm looking forward to the opening race of the next F1 season. And I will learn from my teammate, Valtteri Bottas, who is a very experienced driver."

>'Pedaling Picasso' draws moustachioed man
英'騎行畢加索'用軌跡作畫

A cyclist who calls himself the "Pedaling Picasso" has traced a route across London depicting a moustachioed man. Anthony Hoyte cycled 75 miles to create the image.
英國自稱"騎行畢加索"的男子安東尼?霍伊特近日在倫敦騎行75英里(約合120公里)，用行車軌跡畫出一幅長著絡(luò)腮胡的男子肖像。

Hoyte, who is 53 and from Cheltenham, cycled for eight hours and 27 minutes to paint the picture.
現(xiàn)年53歲的霍伊特來自切爾滕納姆，他騎行了8小時27分鐘完成這幅畫作。

He has previously cycled a Santa face across the West Midlands and a reindeer head over London.

His latest work is to raise money for men's mental health charity Movember.

He hopes to raise ￡3,925 - a pound for every man's life lost to suicide in 2020.
