Chinese lawmakers are mulling a draft law banning parents from placing an excessive academic burden on their children.
家庭教育促進法草案10月19日提請十三屆全國人大常委會第三十一次會議三審。

The draft law on family education promotion was submitted on Tuesday to the ongoing session of the National People's Congress Standing Committee for its third reading. The draft stipulates parents or other guardians of minors should appropriately organize childrens' time for study, rest, recreation and physical exercise. Parents are also required to play their part in preventing their children from being addicted to the internet.
草案明確，父母或其他監(jiān)護人應(yīng)當合理安排未成年人學(xué)習(xí)、休息、娛樂和體育鍛煉的時間，避免加重未成年人學(xué)習(xí)負擔(dān)，預(yù)防未成年人沉迷網(wǎng)絡(luò)。

County-level and higher levels of government should take measures to reduce the homework and after-school tutoring workload of students in primary and middle schools, the draft said, adding they should facilitate communication between schools and families to promote coordination of family and school education.
縣級以上地方人民政府應(yīng)當采取措施，減輕義務(wù)教育階段學(xué)生作業(yè)負擔(dān)和校外培訓(xùn)負擔(dān)，暢通學(xué)校家庭溝通渠道，推動學(xué)校教育和家庭教育相互配合。

The International Monetary Fund on Tuesday revised down its 2021 economic growth forecast for Asia to 6.5%, down by 1.1 percentage points from its April projection, according to a newly released regional economic outlook.
10月19日，國際貨幣基金組織發(fā)布最新的地區(qū)經(jīng)濟展望，將亞洲2021年經(jīng)濟增長預(yù)期下調(diào)至6.5%，較4月份的預(yù)測下調(diào)了1.1個百分點。

"The resurgence of the pandemic slowed the recovery in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in emerging market and developing economies," Changyong Rhee, director of the IMF's Asia and Pacific Department, said at a virtual press conference.
國際貨幣基金組織亞太部主任李昌鏞在視頻發(fā)布會上說："疫情的再度暴發(fā)減緩了亞太區(qū)域，特別是新興市場和發(fā)展中經(jīng)濟體的復(fù)蘇進程。"

Noting the Asia-Pacific remains the fastest-growing region in the world, Rhee said as vaccination rates accelerate, the region is expected to grow by 4.9% in 2022, 0.4 percentage points faster than projected in April.
他指出，亞太地區(qū)仍是全球經(jīng)濟增長最快的地區(qū)，隨著疫苗接種率的加快，預(yù)計亞太地區(qū)經(jīng)濟在2022年將增長4.9%，比4月份的預(yù)測上調(diào)0.4個百分點。

China is projected to grow by 8.0% in 2021, according to the report.

'長津湖'票房突破50億大關(guān)

The Chinese blockbuster "The Battle at Lake Changjin" saw its total earnings at the domestic box office hit 5 billion yuan on Tuesday evening. The film is this year's second-biggest earner so far, both in China and globally, following the domestic comedy "Hi, Mom."

>Russian actor, director return to Earth
俄太空電影攝制組返回地球

A Russian actress and a director making the first film in space returned to Earth on Sunday after spending 12 days on the International Space Station for their movie The Challenge.
10月17日，首部在太空實地拍攝的故事片《挑戰(zhàn)》攝制組返回地球，該電影攝制組在國際空間站共停留12天。

The Soyuz MS-18 space capsule carrying Russian ISS crew member Oleg Novitskiy, Yulia Peresild and Klim Shipenko landed in a remote area outside western Kazakhstan at 07:35 am, Russian space agency Roscosmos said. The crew had detached from the ISS three hours earlier.
