China's foreign trade sustained growth momentum in the first eight months of the year as external demand continued to pick up and the economy maintained stable development.
由于外部需求持續(xù)恢復(fù)，國(guó)內(nèi)經(jīng)濟(jì)保持穩(wěn)定增長(zhǎng)，我國(guó)外貿(mào)進(jìn)出口進(jìn)一步呈現(xiàn)穩(wěn)中加固的態(tài)勢(shì)。

In the first eight months of the year, the country's total imports and exports expanded 23.7 percent year-on-year to 24.78 trillion yuan, according to data from the General Administration of Customs released Tuesday. The figure marked a 22.8 percent increase compared with the level registered during the same period in 2019.
海關(guān)總署9月7日公布的數(shù)據(jù)顯示，今年前8個(gè)月，我國(guó)進(jìn)出口總值24.78萬(wàn)億元人民幣，同比增長(zhǎng)23.7%，比2019年同期增長(zhǎng)22.8%。

Both exports and imports logged double-digit growth in the January-August period, surging 23.2 and 24.4 percent from a year earlier, respectively.
今年1-8月，我國(guó)進(jìn)口和出口均實(shí)現(xiàn)兩位數(shù)增長(zhǎng)，其中出口同比增長(zhǎng)23.2%，進(jìn)口同比增長(zhǎng)24.4%。

The trade surplus increased 17.8 percent year-on-year during the same period to 2.34 trillion yuan.

Beijing on Sunday unveiled measures in the next five years to build itself into an international consumption center. In an implementation plan for this goal, issued by the Beijing Commerce Bureau, the city said it will carry out specific projects including those focusing on new consumption landmarks, new brands, digital consumption and the development of cultural, tourism, sports, education and medical consumption.

The Taliban announced on Tuesday night the formation of Afghanistan's caretaker government, with Mullah Hassan Akhund appointed as acting prime minister.
阿富汗塔利班發(fā)言人穆賈希德9月7日晚在記者會(huì)上宣布組建臨時(shí)政府，穆罕默德?哈桑?阿洪德將出任臨時(shí)政府代理總理。

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told a press conference the move was aimed at carrying out necessary government functions, stressing it was an "acting" government. He did not elaborate on how long the caretaker government will serve.
