8月19日，西藏各族各界干部群眾2萬多人歡聚在西藏自治區(qū)拉薩市布達拉宮廣場，熱烈慶祝西藏和平解放70周年。

China held a grand gathering to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet on Aug 19. More than 20,000 people from various ethnic groups attended the event held at the Potala Palace square in Lhasa, capital of the Tibet autonomous region.

中共中央政治局常委、全國政協(xié)主席、中央代表團團長汪洋出席慶祝大會，并贈送了中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習近平題詞的“建設美麗幸福西藏　共圓偉大復興夢想”賀匾和賀幛。

Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the gathering and presented congratulatory plaques and banners with inscriptions "building a beautiful and happy Tibet and together fulfilling the great dream of national rejuvenation" written by President Xi Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission. Wang also led a central delegation to Tibet.
