China's population grew modestly over the past decade, but nearly half its major cities lost residents due to a variety of factors, data from the latest national census showed.
我國每十年實施一次人口普查，去年實施的第七次人口普查數(shù)據(jù)顯示，雖然過去十年里我國人口總數(shù)小幅增長，但受各種因素影響，我國近半的主要城市出現(xiàn)了人口減少。

Of China's 330-plus prefecture-level cities, 149－or 44.7%－h(huán)ad smaller populations last year than in 2010, according to the once-a-decade census, which was conducted last year.
我國共有330多個地級行政區(qū)，其中149市的人口數(shù)量與2010年相比出現(xiàn)下降，占比44.7%。

The cities with shrinking populations were scattered across 23 of the 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland, with most of them in northeastern, central and western China.
人口下降的149市分布在23個省級行政區(qū)，主要來自東北、中部及西部。

People moving to other places to seek better-paid jobs or marriage opportunities were major reasons for population declines, along with falling birthrates, said experts.
專家稱，除了出生率下降的因素，這些城市人口減少的主要原因是：為找到更高薪工作或更好找對象而遷去別處。

The nationwide trend was most noticeable in the three northeastern provinces－Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang. More than 30 cities in the region saw their populations fall.

>China to make blacklist of karaoke songs
卡拉OK將建違規(guī)曲目清單

China will create a blacklist for karaoke songs, banning those that contain harmful content at karaoke venues across the country, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism said on Tuesday. On the list are songs containing content that endangers national unity, sovereignty or territorial integrity; violates China's religious policies and spreads cults and superstitions; and advocates obscenity, gambling, violence and drug-related crimes or instigating crimes, according to a set of interim regulations issued by the ministry.
文化和旅游部8月10日印發(fā)《歌舞娛樂場所卡拉OK音樂內容管理暫行規(guī)定》，根據(jù)規(guī)定，文旅部將建立全國卡拉OK音樂違規(guī)曲目清單制度，歌舞娛樂場所不得出現(xiàn)使用含有違法違規(guī)內容的卡拉OK音樂，包括：危害國家統(tǒng)一、主權或者領土完整的；違反國家宗教政策，宣揚邪教、迷信的；宣揚淫穢、賭博、暴力以及與毒品有關的違法犯罪活動，或者教唆犯罪的等。

The regulations will take effect on Oct 1, 2021.
本規(guī)定將于2021年10月1日起施行。

China has nearly 50,000 entertainment venues such as karaoke bars, which have a basic music library of over 100,000 songs.
目前我國有近5萬家歌舞娛樂場所，歌舞娛樂場所歌曲點播系統(tǒng)基礎曲庫達10萬首以上。

>Sales of new-energy passenger vehicles soar
7月新能源乘用車零售22.2萬輛

China saw a surge in sales of new-energy passenger vehicles in July, industry data showed.
乘聯(lián)會近日發(fā)布的7月銷量數(shù)據(jù)顯示，我國7月份新能源乘用車銷量激增。

The retail sales of new-energy passenger cars reached 222,000 units, up 169.4% year on year, according to the China Passenger Car Association.
7月，國內新能源乘用車零售量相較去年同期增長了169.4%，達到22.2萬輛。

The wholesale volume of new-energy passenger vehicles grew 202.9% year on year to reach 246,000 units.
7月新能源乘用車批發(fā)量在持續(xù)增長，當月批發(fā)量達到24.6萬輛，較去年同期增長了202.9%。

BYD, Tesla China, SAIC-GM-Wuling, SAIC Passenger Vehicle Branch and GAC Aion all sold more than 10,000 units of new-energy passenger vehicles last month.
其中7月批發(fā)銷量過萬的車企有比亞迪、特斯拉中國、上汽通用五菱、上汽乘用車、廣汽埃安。

In July, China's retail sales of passenger vehicles dropped 6.2% year on year to 1.5 million units.
7月國內狹義乘用車零售量為150萬輛，同比下降6.2%。

>WHO to test three new drugs
世衛(wèi)組織啟動"團結試驗+"

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday announced that it will test three new drugs for COVID-19, which will involve thousands of researchers at more than 600 hospitals in 52 countries.
當?shù)貢r間8月11日，世衛(wèi)組織宣布將新增測試3種藥物，用于治療新冠肺炎。這項測試將在全球52個國家的600余座醫(yī)院內進行。

According to a press release issued by WHO on Wednesday, the three new drugs are artesunate, a treatment for severe malaria; imatinib, a drug for certain cancers; and infliximab, a treatment for immune system disorders such as Crohn's Disease.
世衛(wèi)組織在8月11日的新聞稿中稱，3種藥物分別是用于治療嚴重瘧疾的青蒿琥酯、用于治療某種癌癥的藥物伊馬替尼、以及用于治療免疫系統(tǒng)紊亂如克羅恩病的英夫利西單抗。

These therapies were selected by an independent expert panel for their potential in reducing the risk of death in hospitalized COVID-19 patients, and they were donated for the trial by their manufacturers, WHO said.
