China's Ministry of Commerce on Monday pledged to actively expand integrated pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce to cultivate new competitive edges in foreign trade.
商務(wù)部7月12日表示，將積極做好跨境電子商務(wù)綜合試驗(yàn)區(qū)的擴(kuò)圍工作，培育外貿(mào)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)新優(yōu)勢(shì)。

Some cities have submitted applications to the State Council for the establishment of new pilot zones and the MOC will join relevant departments in carrying out related work, Ren Hongbin, assistant minister of commerce, said at a news conference.
商務(wù)部部長(zhǎng)助理任鴻斌在新聞發(fā)布會(huì)上表示，目前，已有部分城市向國(guó)務(wù)院提出新設(shè)綜試區(qū)的申請(qǐng)，若干城市正在申報(bào)中。商務(wù)部將會(huì)同有關(guān)部門，做好新一批擴(kuò)圍工作。

The MOC also promised to formulate guidelines for the protection of cross-border e-commerce intellectual property rights, optimize the list of cross-border e-commerce retail imports and facilitate the return and exchange management of cross-border e-commerce imports and exports.
商務(wù)部還將研究制定跨境電商知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)保護(hù)指南，優(yōu)化跨境電商零售進(jìn)口商品的清單，便利跨境電商進(jìn)出口的退換貨管理。

China's cross-border e-commerce has been expanding much faster than overall foreign trade, and its share in overall foreign trade has gone up significantly.
中國(guó)跨境電子商務(wù)發(fā)展速度明顯快于外貿(mào)整體發(fā)展速度，占外貿(mào)整體比重明顯提高。

>Domestic vaccine firms to supply 110M doses to COVAX
國(guó)藥和科興疫苗進(jìn)入COVAX疫苗庫(kù)

Two Chinese COVID-19 vaccine producers will immediately begin supplying 110 million doses to COVAX - a global vaccine-sharing initiative - to address critical gaps in vaccine distribution worldwide, the Gavi Vaccine Alliance said in a statement on Monday. By the first half of 2022, the two companies will supply a potential total of 550 million doses to COVAX, according to the statement. Gavi is based in Geneva, Switzerland, and is one of the international organizations leading the COVAX initiative. The alliance announced it had recently signed agreements with State-owned Sinopharm and Sinovac Biotech.

Each company has developed an inactivated COVID-19 vaccine that has been authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization, the first step for a vaccine product to be eligible for COVAX.

>Lunar sample study programs kicked off

China on Monday delivered about 17 grams of lunar samples brought back by the Chang'e-5 probe to 13 institutions, which had applied for research programs to the Lunar Exploration and Space Program Center of the China National Space Administration.
7月12日，第一批月球科研樣品發(fā)放儀式舉行。13家科研機(jī)構(gòu)一共獲得約17克由嫦娥五號(hào)探測(cè)器帶回的月壤。這13家機(jī)構(gòu)之前已向國(guó)家航天局探月與航天工程中心提出申請(qǐng)開(kāi)展月球樣品的科學(xué)研究。

Speaking at a ceremony to mark the delivery, Liu Jizhong, director of the center, said this is the first batch of lunar samples delivered to research institutions. More samples will be released and delivered in the future as planned. Expressing hopes more research institutions will take part in the lunar sample study in the future, Liu said China is willing to promote international cooperation and invite foreign scientists for joint research on lunar samples.
在發(fā)放儀式上，國(guó)家航天局探月與航天工程中心主任劉繼忠表示，這是第一批發(fā)放的月球科研樣品，未來(lái)還會(huì)按計(jì)劃不斷有樣品發(fā)布和發(fā)放，希望有更多科研機(jī)構(gòu)加入到月球樣品研究中來(lái)。中國(guó)愿意推進(jìn)國(guó)際合作，邀請(qǐng)外國(guó)科學(xué)家對(duì)月球樣本進(jìn)行聯(lián)合研究。

British billionaire Richard Branson on Sunday soared more than 50 miles above the New Mexico desert aboard his Virgin Galactic rocket plane and safely returned in the vehicle's first fully crewed test flight to space, a symbolic milestone for a venture he started 17 years ago.
