中共中央總書記、國家主席習(xí)近平6月21日給北京大學(xué)的留學(xué)生們回信，

President Xi Jinping has encouraged overseas students at Peking University to gain a deeper understanding of China as it really is, urging them to share their thoughts and experiences with more people and play an active role in promoting friendship between the peoples of all countries.
鼓勵(lì)他們更加深入地了解真實(shí)的中國，把想法和體會(huì)介紹給更多的人，為促進(jìn)各國人民民心相通發(fā)揮積極作用。

"To understand today's China, one must understand the CPC," Xi wrote in the letter.
習(xí)近平指出，讀懂今天的中國，必須讀懂中國共產(chǎn)黨。

"You mentioned that the CPC has committed itself to developing the economy, eradicating poverty and actively assisting other countries in fighting COVID-19," said Xi. "The CPC is committed to these aims because it is a political party that strives for both the well-being of the Chinese people and human progress."
你們提到中國共產(chǎn)黨致力于發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)、消除貧困，積極援助其他國家抗擊新冠肺炎疫情。中國共產(chǎn)黨做這些事情，是因?yàn)橹袊伯a(chǎn)黨是為中國人民謀幸福的政黨，也是為促進(jìn)人類進(jìn)步事業(yè)而奮斗的政黨。

"Seeing is believing," said Xi, inviting overseas students to visit more parts of the country.
習(xí)近平表示，中國有句俗語：百聞不如一見。歡迎你們多到中國各地走走看看。

The 45 representatives of overseas students from 32 countries recently wrote a letter to Xi, sending their best wishes ahead of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.
近日，來自32個(gè)國家的45名北京大學(xué)留學(xué)生代表給習(xí)近平寫信，向中國共產(chǎn)黨百年華誕致以美好的祝福。

In the letter, they conveyed the thoughts and experiences they have had while studying and living in China, and expressed their appreciation of the achievements China has made under the CPC's leadership, as well as their recognition of the CPC's people-centered philosophy of development.
來信講述了他們在中國學(xué)習(xí)生活的體會(huì)感悟，表達(dá)了對在中國共產(chǎn)黨堅(jiān)強(qiáng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下中國取得偉大成就的由衷贊許，對中國共產(chǎn)黨以人民為中心發(fā)展思想的高度認(rèn)同。
