The Third Plenary Session of the 11th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, held from Dec 18 to 22, 1978, made a historic decision to shift the emphasis in the work of the Party and the country to economic construction and to carry out reform and opening-up. As a symbol of the CPC re-establishing the ideological, political and organizational line of Marxism, this plenary session served as a profound and significant transition in the history of the CPC since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and the country has since embarked upon the great journey of reform and opening-up and socialist modernization.
1978年12月18日—22日，中共十一屆三中全會舉行。會議作出把黨和國家工作中心轉(zhuǎn)移到經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)上來、實(shí)行改革開放的歷史性決策。全會標(biāo)志著中國共產(chǎn)黨重新確立了馬克思主義的思想路線、政治路線和組織路線，實(shí)現(xiàn)了新中國成立以來黨的歷史上具有深遠(yuǎn)意義的偉大轉(zhuǎn)折，開啟了我國改革開放和社會主義現(xiàn)代化的偉大征程。
