中國(guó)科學(xué)家近日宣布,中國(guó)高海拔宇宙線觀測(cè)站(LHAASO拉索)在銀河系內(nèi)發(fā)現(xiàn)大量超高能宇宙加速器,這一發(fā)現(xiàn)可能顛覆人類(lèi)對(duì)銀河系的認(rèn)識(shí),并有助于揭示宇宙線起源這個(gè)困擾了科學(xué)家一個(gè)世紀(jì)的問(wèn)題。
Chinese scientists have detected a dozen ultra-high-energy (UHE) cosmic accelerators within the Milky Way, a find that could overturn humanity's understanding of the galaxy and help reveal the origin of cosmic rays, which have puzzled scientists for a century. The findings were based on the observations of China's Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO).

高海拔宇宙線觀測(cè)站位于四川省稻城縣海拔4410米的海子山,目前仍在建設(shè)中。這次報(bào)道的成果是基于已經(jīng)建成的1/2規(guī)模探測(cè)裝置,在2020年內(nèi)11個(gè)月的觀測(cè)數(shù)據(jù)。
