美國作家詹姆斯·格雷克（James Gleick）是一位科技史家，也是《混沌》、《費曼傳》、《牛頓傳》以及《信息簡史》的作者。他探索費曼、牛頓等科學(xué)家的人生軌跡，發(fā)現(xiàn)了他們的共同點：

I tried to get in their heads, understand their minds, the nature of their genius. I sort of felt I was seeing things that they had in common, and there were things that had to do with aloneness. They all had the ability to concentrate with a sort of intensity that is hard for mortals like me to grasp.
我希望能夠潛入他們的內(nèi)心，了解天才的思想和本質(zhì)，我感覺我發(fā)現(xiàn)了他們的共同點，他們的個性中帶有一種“孤獨感”。他們都能全神貫注于一件事，這種專注度是我們常人難以企及的。

他們保持開放的心態(tài)。聰明的人不會拒絕新的想法和機會。

他們高度自律。

高智商的人往往都有很強的幽默感。

聰明人與別人的想法/感受高度共情。

成為萬眾矚目的天才不是一蹴而就的。他們要經(jīng)受漫長的孤獨，不斷打磨自己的心性，也就是“天才的共性”。艱難困苦，玉汝于成。
