China's trials of digital RMB expanded into six more areas by the end of 2020, and the final timetable to officially launch this digitalized legal tender has not yet been decided, said a senior central bank official on Monday. The trials now focus on small and retail payments for some selected groups of users. New pilot areas were expanded to Shanghai, Changsha in Central China's Hunan province, Xi'an in Northwest China's Shaanxi province, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province, Dalian in Northeast China's Liaoning province and South China's Hainan province by October 2020, according to Li Bin, head of the Macroprudential Policy Bureau of the People's Bank of China, the central bank.
中國人民銀行審慎管理局局長李斌4月12日透露，到2020年10月數(shù)字人民幣增加了上海、海南、長沙、西安、青島、大連6個試點測試地區(qū)。目前數(shù)字人民幣總體處于試點測試階段，正式推出還沒有時間表。數(shù)字人民幣試點測試以受邀白名單用戶小額交易為主。

The pilot programs of digital RMB are expanding, with a gradual increase of the application scenarios and innovations of the application mode. 目前數(shù)字人民幣試點范圍有序擴大，應用場景逐步豐富，應用模式持續(xù)創(chuàng)新，系統(tǒng)運行總體穩(wěn)定，初步驗證了數(shù)字人民幣在理論政策、技術和業(yè)務上的可行性和可靠性。

So far, the testing scenarios have included living payment, catering service, transportation, shopping and government services, and the central bank will step up testing to improve the security and stability of the digital RMB system, he added.
使用場景覆蓋生活繳費、餐飲服務、交通出行、購物消費、政務服務等多個領域。下一階段央行將進一步測試，提升系統(tǒng)的安全性、穩(wěn)定性。

>Offshore duty-free sales to double
海南免稅經(jīng)濟持續(xù)升溫

Offshore duty-free sales in China's southern island province of Hainan are expected to double in 2021 for the second year in a row, as fine-tuned favorable policies continue to draw more consumers, an official said Monday. The island's offshore duty-free sales are likely to exceed 60 billion yuan in 2021, up from 30 billion yuan last year, which had doubled from 15 billion yuan in 2019, Shen Xiaoming, Party chief of Hainan, said at a press conference.

>'Dinosaur dance floor' discovered

A team of Chinese researchers have found a massive concentration of dinosaur footprints, scientifically termed as "dinosaur dance floor," in Shanghang county, east China's Fujian province.
我國科考團隊在福建省上杭縣發(fā)現(xiàn)了大量同時期恐龍足跡化石，即業(yè)內所稱的"恐龍舞池"。

The "dance floor" is an excavation site measuring 100 square meters and approximately 200 dinosaur tracks have been identified there, said Xing Lida, a paleontologist at the China University of Geosciences and a member of the research team.
據(jù)中國地質大學古生物學者、該科考團隊成員邢立達介紹，科考團隊在一處100平方米的清理現(xiàn)場發(fā)現(xiàn)了約200枚恐龍足跡。

The concentration of dinosaur footprints indicates that it could have been a pathway for dinosaurs roaming the area in a relatively short period of time during the Late Cretaceous, he added.

>J&J COVID vaccine sites shutdown
