國(guó)新辦發(fā)布減貧白皮書

China's State Council Information Office on Tuesday issued a white paper titled, "Poverty Alleviation: China's Experience and Contribution". The white paper was issued to record the course of the Chinese people's great fight in eliminating extreme poverty, introduce China's approach, and share its experience and actions in poverty alleviation.
4月6日，國(guó)務(wù)院新聞辦公室發(fā)表《人類減貧的中國(guó)實(shí)踐》白皮書，其目的在于記錄中國(guó)消除絕對(duì)貧困的偉大歷程，介紹人類減貧的中國(guó)探索和實(shí)踐，分享中國(guó)扶貧脫貧的經(jīng)驗(yàn)做法。

Besides the preface and conclusion, the white paper consists of five parts: "The Solemn Commitment of the CPC," "Final Victory in the Fight against Extreme Poverty," "The Strategy of Targeted Poverty Alleviation," "Exploring a New Path in Poverty Alleviation" and "A Global Community of a Shared Future Free from Poverty."
除前言和結(jié)束語(yǔ)以外，白皮書正文分為"中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨的莊嚴(yán)承諾"、"新時(shí)代脫貧攻堅(jiān)取得全面勝利"、"實(shí)施精準(zhǔn)扶貧方略"、"為人類減貧探索新的路徑"、"攜手共建沒有貧困共同發(fā)展的人類命運(yùn)共同體"等五個(gè)部分。

Noting that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the white paper said the Party has united and led the Chinese people in the battle against poverty with unwavering faith and will over the past century.
白皮書說(shuō)，今年是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨成立100周年。100年來(lái)，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨團(tuán)結(jié)帶領(lǐng)人民，以堅(jiān)定不移、頑強(qiáng)不屈的信念和意志與貧困作斗爭(zhēng)。

China is home to nearly one-fifth of the world's population and its complete eradication of extreme poverty is a milestone in the history of the Chinese nation and the history of humankind, it said.
占世界人口近五分之一的中國(guó)全面消除絕對(duì)貧困，不僅是中華民族發(fā)展史上具有里程碑意義的大事件，也是人類發(fā)展史上的大事件。

China's experience in poverty alleviation indicates that courage, vision, a sense of responsibility, and the eagerness to take on challenges are the most essential, according to the white paper.
中國(guó)減貧的實(shí)踐表明，與貧困作斗爭(zhēng)，最重要的是勇氣、遠(yuǎn)見、責(zé)任和擔(dān)當(dāng)。

清明假期738萬(wàn)人網(wǎng)絡(luò)祭掃

About 7.38 million people in China opted to pay their respects to the deceased through online channels during the three-day Tomb-sweeping Day holiday, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said Monday.
據(jù)民政部網(wǎng)站消息，清明節(jié)假期三天，全國(guó)登錄網(wǎng)絡(luò)祭掃的群眾約738萬(wàn)人次。

On Tomb-sweeping Day on Sunday, a total of 1,308 online memorial platforms received 3.78 million visits, statistics by the ministry showed.
清明節(jié)當(dāng)天(4月4日)，各地開通網(wǎng)絡(luò)祭掃平臺(tái)1308個(gè)，登錄網(wǎng)絡(luò)祭掃群眾378萬(wàn)人次。

Meanwhile, cemeteries and memorial venues across the country saw 67.73 million visits from the public during the holiday, with 35.27 million visits taking place on Tomb-sweeping Day alone, according to the ministry.
清明節(jié)假期三天，各地墓地和紀(jì)念場(chǎng)所累計(jì)接待現(xiàn)場(chǎng)祭掃的群眾6773萬(wàn)人次。清明節(jié)當(dāng)天現(xiàn)場(chǎng)祭掃的群眾共3527萬(wàn)人次。

The ministry expects mourning activities to continue for some time after the holiday, and reminded the public of safety and health issues when attending such activities.
民政部預(yù)計(jì)，清明節(jié)假期結(jié)束后仍會(huì)有部分群眾進(jìn)行祭掃活動(dòng)，提醒廣大群眾做好個(gè)人安全和衛(wèi)生防護(hù)，文明祭掃。

>US bankruptcies increased
美國(guó)個(gè)人申請(qǐng)破產(chǎn)激增

US bankruptcies surged in March to the highest level in a year, driven by a 41 percent jump in month-to-month filings by consumers, data firm Epiq AACER reported on Monday.
數(shù)據(jù)公司Epiq AACER4月5日公布的最新報(bào)告顯示，3月份美國(guó)個(gè)人申請(qǐng)破產(chǎn)的數(shù)量激增41%，是一年來(lái)的最高水平。

Overall commercial filings also increased, though the Chapter 11 bankruptcy used by larger companies fell, the firm said.

Robert Mundell, the Nobel Prize-winning economist considered to be the "father of the euro" currency, has died in Italy at the age of 88, according to reports from Italian news agency Ansa and other major local media.

Mundell won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1999 for what the Nobel Committee referred to as "his analysis of monetary and fiscal policy under different exchange rate regimes and his analysis of optimum currency areas."
