The World Health Organization on Tuesday released a report on the global tracing of COVID-19’s origins, following joint research with China on issues, including the pathways of the virus and future investigation in different countries.
當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間3月30日，世界衛(wèi)生組織正式發(fā)布中國-世衛(wèi)組織新冠病毒溯源聯(lián)合研究報(bào)告，涉及到病毒引入人類的路徑以及未來在多國展開調(diào)查等問題。

According to the report, COVID-19 introduction through an intermediate host is "likely to very likely," introduction through cold/food chain products is "possible," and introduction through a laboratory incident is "extremely unlikely."
報(bào)告稱，新冠病毒經(jīng)中間宿主引入人類的可能性為"比較可能"到"非?？赡?，也"可能"通過冷鏈?zhǔn)称芬肴祟悾ㄟ^實(shí)驗(yàn)室引入人類"極不可能"。

The experts also put forward a series of recommendations for future research: Developing a comprehensive information database, conducting further retrospective and systematic research around earlier cases and possible hosts, and analyzing the different role of the cold chain in the possible introduction and spread of the virus.
報(bào)告提出了下步研究的建議，包括建立全球統(tǒng)一的數(shù)據(jù)庫，圍繞早期病例和可能宿主開展進(jìn)一步回顧性系統(tǒng)研究，分析冷鏈在病毒引入和傳播過程中的作用等。

>NPC approves HK electoral reform bills
全國人大完善香港選舉制度

China's top legislature on Tuesday adopted a package of legislative changes to improve Hong Kong's electoral system. The amended Annex I and Annex II to the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region were passed at a session of the National People's Congress Standing Committee with a unanimous vote from all 167 committee members in attendance. The two annexes respectively concern the method for the selection of Hong Kong’s chief executive and the method for the formation of the Hong Kong Legislative Council and its voting procedures.
3月30日，十三屆全國人大常委會第二十七次會議以167票全票通過新修訂的《中華人民共和國香港特別行政區(qū)基本法附件一香港特別行政區(qū)行政長官的產(chǎn)生辦法》、新修訂的《中華人民共和國香港特別行政區(qū)基本法附件二香港特別行政區(qū)立法會的產(chǎn)生辦法和表決程序》。

"A democratic electoral system suiting Hong Kong's legal status and reality has taken shape as a result of the amendments," said the chairman of the NPC Standing Committee. Li said the two amended annexes fully demonstrate the resolution and common will of the Chinese people, including Hong Kong compatriots, in safeguarding national sovereignty, security and development interests, as well as the constitutional order of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
全國人大常委會委員長栗戰(zhàn)書表示，新修訂的香港基本法附件一、附件二獲得全票通過，形成了一套符合香港法律地位和實(shí)際情況的民主選舉制度，彰顯了包括香港同胞在內(nèi)的全國各族人民維護(hù)國家主權(quán)、安全、發(fā)展利益，維護(hù)香港特別行政區(qū)憲制秩序的堅(jiān)定決心和共同意志。

>FAST opens to global astronomers
'中國天眼'向全世界開放

China's Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope, the world's largest single-dish and most sensitive radio telescope, officially opens to the world starting Wednesday.
被譽(yù)為"中國天眼"的 500 米口徑球面射電望遠(yuǎn)鏡(FAST)，北京時(shí)間3月31日零點(diǎn)正式向全世界開放。"中國天眼"是當(dāng)今世界最大單口徑、最靈敏的射電望遠(yuǎn)鏡。

Astronomers worldwide can visit http://fast.bao.ac.cn/proposal_submit to submit their applications for observations, said the National Astronomical Observatories under the Chinese Academy of Sciences in a statement.
中科院國家天文臺介紹說，全世界天文學(xué)家可登錄http://fast.bao.ac.cn/proposal_submit提交申請。

All foreign applications will be evaluated, and the results will be announced on July 20. Observations by international users will begin in August.
所有國外申請項(xiàng)目統(tǒng)一參加評審。征集項(xiàng)目的評審結(jié)果將于2021年7月20日對外公布，觀測時(shí)間將從2021年8月開始。

The statement noted that the telescope will provide its research facilities to the world with a more open attitude, offering more observation options for the international astronomical community. The project will contribute Chinese wisdom to the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity, and strive to promote international sci-tech development and the progress of human civilization, said the statement.
中科院國家天文臺表示，"中國天眼"將以更加開放的態(tài)度向全球提供研究設(shè)施，給世界天文學(xué)界提供更多的觀測條件，為構(gòu)建人類命運(yùn)共同體貢獻(xiàn)中國智慧，努力推動世界科技發(fā)展和人類文明進(jìn)步。

>Progress in water resource protection
黑臭水體消除達(dá)98.2%

China has made historic breakthroughs in protecting water ecology and the environment in recent years, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment said Tuesday. All cities at or above the prefecture level had eliminated 98.2 percent of the 2,914 "black and odorous" water bodies nationwide as of the end of last year, said ministry official Zhang Bo at a press conference.
3月30日，生態(tài)環(huán)境部水生態(tài)環(huán)境司司長張波在例行新聞發(fā)布會上介紹說，我國水生態(tài)環(huán)境保護(hù)發(fā)生歷史性、轉(zhuǎn)折性、全局性變化。截至2020年底，全國地級及以上城市2914個(gè)黑臭水體消除比例達(dá)到98.2%；

All industrial parks in provincial-level regions or above had installed facilities for wastewater disposal, Zhang said.

Cities at or above the county level had rectified more than 10,000 cases of irregularity concerning sources of urban potable water.
縣級及以上城市集中式飲用水水源地一萬多個(gè)問題完成整改；

During the three-year period, the Yangtze River saw the water quality of its main stream rated at Grade II or above for the first time.
通過三年攻堅(jiān)戰(zhàn)，長江干流首次全線達(dá)到Ⅱ類水的水質(zhì)，實(shí)現(xiàn)了歷史性的突破。

Looking ahead, Zhang said the ministry will extend the work on black and odorous water bodies to the county level with tailored solutions and set a blacklist for cities where such polluted water reemerges.
張波表示，今后將在調(diào)研的基礎(chǔ)上精準(zhǔn)科學(xué)制定縣級城市黑臭水體攻堅(jiān)戰(zhàn)方案，對于地級及以上城市黑臭水體反彈的，依然會進(jìn)入生態(tài)環(huán)境部的黑名單。
