中共中央辦公廳印發(fā)了《關(guān)于做好“光榮在黨50年”紀(jì)念章頒發(fā)工作的通知》指出，黨中央決定，2021年首次頒發(fā)“光榮在黨50年”紀(jì)念章。
The Communist Party of China (CPC) will honor its members bearing five decades of Party membership with memorial medals for the first time this year, according to a circular issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee.

頒發(fā)“光榮在黨50年”紀(jì)念章是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨成立100周年慶?；顒?dòng)的重要組成部分，對(duì)于增強(qiáng)黨員的榮譽(yù)感、歸屬感、使命感，匯聚全黨為實(shí)現(xiàn)“十四五”規(guī)劃和2035年遠(yuǎn)景目標(biāo)持續(xù)奮斗的磅礴力量，具有十分重要的意義。
“光榮在黨50年”紀(jì)念章首次頒發(fā)對(duì)象為健在的截至2021年7月1日黨齡達(dá)到50周年、一貫表現(xiàn)良好的黨員。
“光榮在黨50年”紀(jì)念章首次頒發(fā)以后，將作為一項(xiàng)經(jīng)常性工作，一般每年“七一”集中頒發(fā)一次。
