【單詞講解】

關(guān)于“疫苗”的幾個(gè)詞，vaccine就是“疫苗”本身，vaccinate就是“注射疫苗、接種疫苗”這個(gè)動作，而其名詞形式vaccination就是“接種疫苗”這件事。上文中的COVID-19 shots指“新冠疫苗注射”，這里的shot是相對比較口語化的表達(dá)。Shot做名詞常見的意思是足球比賽中的“射門”，比如：He has the best shot on the team（他在隊(duì)里射門能力最強(qiáng)），還有“嘗試”的意思，與try類似，比如：Let's give it a shot（我們試試看）。

China is working around the clock to build COVID-19 herd immunity through its orderly and smooth rollout of vaccines, with 64.98 million doses administered as of last week.
