China's Tianwen 1 Mars probe is set to enter the orbit of the red planet around Feb 10, two days before Chinese New Year, according to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. The State-owned conglomerate said in a statement on Wednesday afternoon the spacecraft will conduct a "braking" operation to decelerate and make sure it will be captured by Martian gravity.
中國航天科技集團(tuán)有限公司2月3日下午發(fā)布聲明稱，我國的火星探測器"天問一號"預(yù)計將在2月10日左右，也就是春節(jié)前兩天，進(jìn)行關(guān)鍵"剎車"，即在臨近火星的位置減速，使自己被火星引力捕獲，從而進(jìn)入環(huán)火軌道。
Tianwen 1 has flown for 196 days and traveled more than 450 million kilometers on its journey to the planet. It is now around 170 million km from Earth.
"天問一號"探測器已經(jīng)在軌飛行196天，總飛行里程超過4.5億公里，目前距地球約1.7億公里。
Depending on the two planets' orbits, Mars is between 55 and 400 million km from Earth.
火星與地球的距離在5500萬公里至4億公里之間變化，取決于兩者的運(yùn)行軌道。

>Short video users surge by 100M

The number of online short video users in China reached 873 million by the end of last year, surging 100 million compared with March 2020 and accounting for 88% of the internet-using population, according to a report on China's internet development released Wednesday.
中國互聯(lián)網(wǎng)絡(luò)信息中心2月3日發(fā)布的《中國互聯(lián)網(wǎng)絡(luò)發(fā)展?fàn)顩r統(tǒng)計報告》顯示，截至2020年12月，我國網(wǎng)絡(luò)短視頻用戶規(guī)模8.73億，較2020年3月增長1億，占網(wǎng)民整體的88%，網(wǎng)絡(luò)視頻節(jié)目質(zhì)量大幅提升。
The report, issued by the China Internet Network Information Center, notes the quality improvement of online video programs. Per the report, China's streaming platforms have been improving their business models and investing more in short videos to bring audiences more quality content.
報告稱，國內(nèi)各大流媒體平臺優(yōu)化商業(yè)模式，加大對短視頻的投資，為用戶推出更多優(yōu)質(zhì)內(nèi)容。
At the same time, short video platforms are introducing trial projects such as mini dramas or shows, before gradually landing in the field of long videos.
與此同時，短視頻片平臺也開始推出"微劇"、"微綜藝"來試水，再逐漸進(jìn)入長視頻領(lǐng)域。

>Olympics Playbook published

Singing or chanting will be discouraged at the postponed Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics to safeguard against the spread of coronavirus.

Instead, those attending the Olympics and Paralympics will be encouraged to clap in order to show support.

The suggestion is one of a number of rules detailed in a "Playbook" published by organizers.

In addition, attendees will have to complete a "14-day activity plan" detailing "all your planned activities", including travel and accommodation plans.

Jeff Bezos is stepping down as the CEO of Amazon, 27 years after founding it with his ex-wife and building it into one of the most successful companies of all time now worth $1.7 trillion. He will be replaced by 53-year-old Andy Jassy, the current CEO of the Amazon empire cloud business Amazon Web Services.
