The 13th National People's Congress will hold its fourth annual session in Beijing on March 5, 2021, according to a decision made by the NPC Standing Committee on Saturday.
十三屆全國人大常委會第二十四次會議12月26日表決通過了關(guān)于召開十三屆全國人大四次會議的決定。根據(jù)決定，十三屆全國人大四次會議將于2021年3月5日在北京召開。

The fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the country's top political advisory body, is expected to start on March 4, 2021, according to a draft decision approved at a Chairperson's Council meeting of the 13th CPPCC National Committee.
政協(xié)第十三屆全國委員會第四十七次主席會議，日前審議通過了關(guān)于召開政協(xié)第十三屆全國委員會第四次會議的決定(草案)，建議全國政協(xié)十三屆四次會議于2021年3月4日召開。

Thousands of national lawmakers and political advisors will gather in Beijing for this important political meeting that covers every aspect of China's development and the people's well-being.
數(shù)千名全國人大代表和全國政協(xié)委員將齊聚北京，參加兩會。兩會是涉及中國發(fā)展和人民福祉方方面面的重要政治會議。

They are expected to discuss a series of policies and measures, including the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives through the Year 2035.

>Beijing-Xiong'an intercity railway
京雄城際鐵路全線開通

The Beijing-Xiong'an intercity railway opened to traffic on Sunday, connecting the Chinese capital with the Xiong'an New Area. The railway is 91 kilometers long and has a maximum design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
北京至雄安新區(qū)城際鐵路(京雄城際)于12月27日實(shí)現(xiàn)全線貫通，線路全長91公里，最高設(shè)計(jì)時(shí)速350公里。

The stretch between Beijing West Railway Station and Daxing airport opened in September 2019.
京雄城際鐵路北京西至大興機(jī)場段已于2019年9月開通運(yùn)營。

Passengers can take high-speed trains from Beijing West directly to Xiong'an New Area, with the shortest commuting time at 50 minutes. The journey between Daxing airport and Xiong'an will be about 19 minutes.
北京西站至雄安新區(qū)間最快旅行時(shí)間50分鐘，大興機(jī)場至雄安新區(qū)間最快19分鐘可達(dá)。

The construction of the Beijing-Xiong'an intercity high-speed railway started in February 2018.
京雄城際鐵路2018年2月開工建設(shè)。

Xiong'an Railway Station has a construction area of 475,200 square meters, the size of 66 soccer fields, and is designed to resemble dew on a lotus leaf.
雄安站總建筑面積47.52萬平方米，相當(dāng)于66個(gè)足球場，形似荷葉上的一滴露珠。

>Space station module to be lofted
空間站核心艙明春發(fā)射

China plans to launch the core module of its manned space station in the first half of 2021, a senior official said Friday. The core module will be sent by a Long March-5B Y2 rocket from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in Hainan province, said Zhou Jianping, chief designer of China's manned space program, at a handover ceremony for the return capsule of the Shenzhou-10 manned spacecraft in Shaoshan, Central China's Hunan province. "Subsequent space missions include the launches of Tianzhou-2 cargo craft and Shenzhou-12 manned craft after the core module is sent into orbit," Zhou said.
12月25日，神舟十號載人飛船返回艙交接儀式在湖南韶山舉行。中國載人航天工程總設(shè)計(jì)師周建平在出席交接儀式時(shí)表示，我國將于明年上半年在海南文昌航天發(fā)射場用長征五號B遙二火箭發(fā)射空間站核心艙，而后接續(xù)發(fā)射天舟二號貨運(yùn)飛船和神舟十二號載人飛船。

Tests on the core module have been completed, and astronaut training is underway.
目前，核心艙已經(jīng)基本完成測試的全部工作，航天員乘組正在開展任務(wù)訓(xùn)練。

China is scheduled to complete the construction of the space station around 2022.
中國計(jì)劃于2022年前后建成空間站。

The construction project will be implemented in two phases.
根據(jù)飛行任務(wù)規(guī)劃，空間站建造將分兩個(gè)階段實(shí)施。

Six flight missions, including the launch of the core module, have been scheduled for the phase of key technology validation.
其中，關(guān)鍵技術(shù)驗(yàn)證階段安排了核心艙發(fā)射等6次飛行任務(wù)。

>Japan tightens entry ban
日本暫停外國人新入境

Japan on Saturday decided to ban the entry of most foreign nationals, except those from the Chinese mainland, Vietnam, Singapore and other regions that have managed to bring COVID-19 under control, from Dec 28 to the end of January, following the detection of a new variant of the novel coronavirus in arrivals from Britain.
鑒于近日有從英國出發(fā)、到訪日本的人員被檢測到了變異新冠病毒，日本政府12月26日決定，從12月28日起至明年1月底暫停批準(zhǔn)外國人入境，來自中國大陸以及越南、新加坡等疫情控制較好的地區(qū)的人員除外。

Chinese visitors can enter Japan without a nucleic acid test certificate, and those with short-term non-business visas are required to complete a 14-day quarantine upon arrival, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare told CCTV, adding that visitors cannot take public transport after arriving in Japan.
中央電視臺記者致電日本厚生勞動省獲悉，中國大陸訪日人員入境前無需提交核酸檢測證明，持短期商務(wù)以外簽證的入境人員需要在抵達(dá)后自主隔離14天，抵達(dá)日本后不能乘公共交通工具。
