城鄉(xiāng)居民收入差距縮小
Rural earnings have been rising steadily in China, and the wealth gap between rural and urban residents is narrowing, said Liu Huanxin, vice-minister of agriculture and rural affairs.
在10月27日的國新辦新聞發(fā)布會(huì)上，農(nóng)業(yè)農(nóng)村部副部長劉煥鑫介紹，我國農(nóng)村居民收入穩(wěn)步上升，城鄉(xiāng)居民收入差距持續(xù)縮小。
In the first three quarters of this year, disposable income for rural residents averaged 12,297 yuan, a 1.6% increase over the previous year after adjustments for inflation.
劉煥鑫表示，今年前三季度農(nóng)村居民人均可支配收入達(dá)到12297元，實(shí)際增長1.6%。
"The growth rate for the quarter is expected to continue to rise, and rural people will get a stronger sense of gain and happiness as we are nearing the goal of building a moderately prosperous society," he said at a Tuesday news conference held by the State Council Information Office.
第四季度增速有望繼續(xù)提高，小康之年農(nóng)民將有更多獲得感。
In 2008, the central government first put forward the goal of doubling rural income from 2010 to 2020.
2008年，中央政府首次提出了"2020年農(nóng)民人均收入較2010年翻番"的目標(biāo)。
By the end of last year, the annual disposable income for rural residents exceeded 16,000 yuan, marking the completion of the goal a year ahead of schedule.
截至去年年底，我國農(nóng)村居民人均可支配收入突破1.6萬元，農(nóng)民收入提前實(shí)現(xiàn)翻番目標(biāo)。
"The growth rate of rural earnings has been higher than that of urban incomes for 10 straight years," Liu added. As a result, the urban to rural income ratio shrank from 2.73:1 in 2015 to 2.64:1 in 2019.
劉煥鑫還表示，農(nóng)村居民收入增速連續(xù)10年高于城鎮(zhèn)居民，城鄉(xiāng)居民收入差距由2015年的2.73:1縮小到2019年的2.64:1。

京滬高鐵將推'靜音車廂'
High-speed trains between Beijing and Shanghai will have quiet carriages by the end of this year.
京滬高鐵將于年底前推出"靜音車廂"。
The upgrade will provide a more tranquil and comfortable ambience for travelers. Passengers willing to obey the rules can choose the "quiet carriage" while booking tickets on the website or mobile app 12306, according to the Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway Co Ltd.
京滬高速鐵路股份有限公司表示，"靜音車廂"可為旅客提供更加安靜舒適的旅行環(huán)境，愿意遵守相應(yīng)行為規(guī)范的旅客，通過12306網(wǎng)站和手機(jī)客戶端等購票時(shí)可自行選擇"靜音車廂"。
In a quiet carriage, onboard videos will be muted, and announcements made at a lower volume.
在"靜音車廂"中，車載視頻將采用靜音方式播放，車廂廣播也會(huì)調(diào)低音量。
Doors at the ends of the carriage will be kept closed to reduce noise.
車廂兩端的門也會(huì)關(guān)閉，以減少噪音。
The service is expected to start trial operations as early as Dec 23 with no specific regulations released yet, China State Railway Group said.

The company will also initiate a flexible pricing mechanism, offering preferential ticket prices for commuters and frequent business travelers.

Under the system, the ticket price for a second-class seat will be between 598 and 498 yuan.

>Water found on surface of moon
月球太陽照射面發(fā)現(xiàn)水
NASA's Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) has confirmed, for the first time, water on the sunlit surface of the moon, the agency announced on Monday.
美國國家航空航天局(NASA)10月26日稱，其"平流層紅外天文臺(tái)(SOFIA)"首次確認(rèn)在月球的太陽照射面存在水。
This discovery indicates water may be distributed across the lunar surface, and not limited to cold, shadowed places.
這一發(fā)現(xiàn)表明水可能分布在整個(gè)月球表面，而不僅限于寒冷、處于陰影的區(qū)域。
"We confirmed water on the sunlit surface of the Moon for the 1st time using @SOFIAtelescope. We don't know yet if we can use it as a resource, but learning about water on the Moon is key for our #Artemis exploration plans," NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine tweeted.

The data will add to the work of future moon missions, to create the first water resource maps of the moon for future human space exploration, according to NASA.

>Restaurant opens near Giza Pyramids

Egypt launched its first tourist restaurant at the Giza Pyramids plateau late on Oct 20.
埃及吉薩金字塔景區(qū)首家觀景餐廳于10月20日夜間開張。
Dubbed "9 Pyramids Lounge," the restaurant covers an area of 1,341 square meters and overlooks the pyramids. "One of the problems always faced is people say there are no special services for tourists, that there is no cafeteria, no restaurant, nothing that can be offered to visitors," said Mostafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
餐廳名為"九金字塔休息室"，面積1341平方米，可以遠(yuǎn)眺吉薩金字塔。埃及最高文物委員會(huì)秘書長穆斯塔法?瓦齊里說："吉薩金字塔景區(qū)游客經(jīng)常抱怨景區(qū)服務(wù)不周，沒有快餐廳、沒有餐廳，不能向游客提供任何服務(wù)，這是我們面臨的一大問題"。
There will also be a fleet of new environmentally friendly buses to guide tourists around the plateau. The new facilities can all be easily taken apart and reassembled so as to protect the antiquities, and Waziri said the open-air restaurant offered "a panorama view that cannot be matched anywhere in the world ".
