穆鐵禮甫·哈斯木委員5月24日在全國政協(xié)十三屆三次會議第二次全體會議上作大會發(fā)言時說，新疆今天的大好局面來之不易！必須倍加珍惜、堅決捍衛(wèi)。

Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region has recorded no terror-related incidents in the past three and half years, and criminal and public security cases have fallen significantly, said Mutanlip Khasem, a member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, during the two sessions.

全國政協(xié)委員穆鐵禮甫·哈斯木發(fā)言時說，截至目前，新疆維吾爾自治區(qū)已連續(xù)三年半未發(fā)生暴恐案件，刑事、治安案件也大幅下降。

"I still can't forget the terrible scene I saw in May 2014. Rioters detonated explosive devices in a morning market, and the attack left 39 people killed and 94 injured. After that, people of all ethnic groups were afraid to go out on the streets or meet in groups," Mutanlip said.

他說：“猶記得，2014年5月，暴徒在早市引爆爆炸裝置，造成39人死亡，94人受傷。那段時間，各族群眾不敢上街、不敢聚集。”

"After the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the region struck hard and maintained high pressure on the three forces of separatism, extremism and terrorism, and effectively contained the spread of terrorism in Xinjiang," Mutanlip Khasem said.

穆鐵禮甫·哈斯木說：“黨的十八大以來，自治區(qū)黨委沉重打擊了民族分裂、暴力恐怖、宗教極端‘三股勢力’的囂張氣焰，有效遏制了暴恐事件多發(fā)頻發(fā)勢頭?！?/p>

穆鐵禮甫·哈斯木表示，這樣大好的局面，西方反華勢力是不愿看到的。美國國會打著“人權(quán)”旗號，悍然通過所謂“2019年維吾爾人權(quán)政策法案”，對我國治疆政策肆意歪曲抹黑、無端指責(zé)。

"Nothing can stop the people of Xinjiang from forging ahead in a future of unity and prosperity," he added.

他說：“你們的攻擊誹謗，阻擋不了新疆各族人民團結(jié)奮進的腳步；你們的詭計圖謀，干擾不了新疆發(fā)展繁榮的進程！
