My name is Phil Crimmins. I'm from the United States of America and I live in Chengdu, China. I came to China first in April of 2011.

So we started the business in January of 2016. What we do is we build the character learning using a mnemonic visualization system that is patent pending to help them step by step, learn every aspect of Chinese characters.
我們在2016年1月份開始創(chuàng)業(yè)，用立體成像學(xué)習(xí)法幫助外國人一步一步學(xué)習(xí)漢字的每一個(gè)方面，我們正在給這個(gè)方法申請專利。

It was the first (entrepreneurial visa) in Sichuan. I went through the procedures of getting the visa because the Sichuan University students office called me and said, hey, there's a new visa that's being released for graduates, new graduates from Chinese universities. They weren't too complicated. I had to submit a business plan and submit my various credentials, but it was pretty easy. And I was delighted to get the visa.
實(shí)際上，我拿到了四川的第一個(gè)創(chuàng)業(yè)簽證。四川大學(xué)學(xué)生辦公室打電話給我，說有一個(gè)新的簽證正在發(fā)放給從中國大學(xué)畢業(yè)的學(xué)生。辦理簽證的手續(xù)并不復(fù)雜。我提交了一份商業(yè)計(jì)劃書和我的各種證書，這很容易。我很高興能拿到簽證。

We also benefited from the entrepreneurship competitions that are sponsored by the government here. So we participated in 2017 in the Tianfu Cup Entrepreneurial Competition (天府杯創(chuàng)業(yè)比賽). And that was a great moment for us. We actually came in second place in the preliminary competition and that gave us a 10000 RMB grant. That mechanism was a big benefit to us.（There were）news stories written about us at that time. And so that was super helpful towards getting us some name recognition.
我們也受益于政府在這里舉辦的創(chuàng)業(yè)比賽。2017年，我們參加了天府杯創(chuàng)業(yè)比賽，這對我們來說是一個(gè)重要的時(shí)刻。難以置信的是，我們在預(yù)賽中拿到了第二名，獲得了1萬元的獎(jiǎng)金。這個(gè)比賽還給我們帶了一個(gè)很大的好處，當(dāng)時(shí)有很多關(guān)于我們的新聞報(bào)道，因此幫助我們增加了知名度。

There will definitely be more Chinese learners. China is such an important player on the world stage. There are opportunities to work in China. There are opportunities to start businesses in China. There's of course all the different reasons one might want to learn the most spoken language in the world, mandarin has more speakers than both English speakers and Spanish speakers combined. So the opportunities you open up to yourself by learning mandarin are incalculably high.
肯定會(huì)有更多的人學(xué)習(xí)漢語。中國在世界舞臺(tái)上是一個(gè)如此重要的角色。在中國有工作、創(chuàng)業(yè)的機(jī)會(huì)。有很多不同的原因使一個(gè)人想要學(xué)習(xí)世界上說的最多的語言—普通話。普通話的使用者比英語和西班牙語使用者的總和還要多。因此，你通過學(xué)習(xí)普通話為自己打開的機(jī)會(huì)是不可估量的。
