>Museum raises daily visitor cap

China's Palace Museum will welcome more visitors from next Tuesday as its daily cap on visitor numbers will increase from 5,000 to 8,000, according to a newly released notice.
根據(jù)新發(fā)布的通知，12日起，故宮博物院每天將迎來更多游客，其數(shù)量從5000人上調(diào)至8000人。

Visitors still need to make reservations online, wear face masks and have their body temperatures checked before admission, according to the notice.
游客仍需通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)提前預(yù)約參觀，參觀時須全程佩戴口罩，入館前須接受體溫測量。

The Palace Museum partially reopened on May 1, the first day of China's five-day May Day holiday, after it was closed on Jan 25 to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
為遏制新冠病毒傳播，故宮自1月25日起閉館。5月1日，即五一假期的第一天，故宮重新恢復(fù)開放。

The year 2020 marks the 600th anniversary of the Forbidden City.

US employers cut 20.5 million jobs in April as the coronavirus pandemic hit the economy and sent the unemployment rate to 14.7% – the highest since World War II, the Labor Department reported Friday.
美國勞工部8日稱，由于新冠肺炎疫情重創(chuàng)經(jīng)濟(jì)，4月份美國公司裁員2050萬人，使該國失業(yè)率升至14.7%，為二戰(zhàn)以來最高值。

The leisure and hospitality sector lost 7.7 million jobs, including 5.5 million in restaurants and bars.

>Suggestions and proposals handled

China's two sessions, known as the nation's highest-profile political event of the year, will convene later this month.

The State Council Information Office briefed the press Saturday about the handling of thousands of different suggestions and proposals in 2019.
國務(wù)院新聞辦公室9日舉行吹風(fēng)會，介紹2019年國務(wù)院部門辦理人大代表建議和政協(xié)委員提案情況。

Ministries and departments under the State Council had responded to 7,162 suggestions made by national legislators and 3,281 proposals made by national political advisors in 2019, said Xi Yanchun, spokeswoman for the State Council Information Office. The suggestions and proposals were made during last year's two sessions. She said that the handled suggestions and proposals accounted for 87.8% and 85% of the total, respectively, and were all settled on time.

國新辦新聞發(fā)言人襲艷春介紹，2019年，國務(wù)院部門牽頭辦理全國人大代表建議7162件、全國政協(xié)委員提案3281件，分別占"兩會"建議、提案總數(shù)的87.8%和85%，已全部按時辦結(jié)。上述建議和提案是在去年兩會期間提出的。
