World trade is expected to fall by between 13% and 32% in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupts normal economic activity and life around the world, the World Trade Organization (WTO) said Wednesday in its latest annual Trade Statistics and Outlook Report.
世界貿(mào)易組織8日在其最新發(fā)布的年度《全球貿(mào)易數(shù)據(jù)與展望》報(bào)告中表示，由于新冠肺炎大流行擾亂全球正常經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng)和生活，今年全球貿(mào)易將縮水13%到32%。

The WTO added that the decline would likely exceed the trade slump brought on by the global financial crisis of 2008-09.
世貿(mào)組織還稱，此次貿(mào)易下降幅度可能會(huì)超過(guò)2008-09年全球金融危機(jī)帶來(lái)的貿(mào)易下滑。

According to the report, estimates of the expected recovery in 2021 are equally uncertain, with outcomes depending largely on the duration of the outbreak and the effectiveness of the policy responses.
報(bào)告稱，對(duì)2021年貿(mào)易恢復(fù)的預(yù)期也同樣存在不確定，其結(jié)果在很大程度上取決于疫情的持續(xù)時(shí)間和政策反應(yīng)的有效性。

"The immediate goal is to bring the pandemic under control and mitigate the economic damage to people, companies and countries. But policymakers must start planning for the aftermath of the pandemic," said WTO Director-General Roberto Azevedo.
