中國(guó)外賣小哥登《時(shí)代周刊》封面,“非凡的使命感”令外媒耳目一新

3月19日,美國(guó)《時(shí)代周刊》發(fā)布抗疫群像,美團(tuán)外賣騎手高治曉作為唯一華人面孔登上封面。
據(jù)介紹,《時(shí)代周刊》的這期特別報(bào)道重點(diǎn)針對(duì)當(dāng)下新冠肺炎疫情,包含6張不同的封面圖,展現(xiàn)了疫情之下人們的生活狀態(tài)。
It features six different covers, each with a portrait of individuals directly impacted by the virus, ranging from the tragically hard-hit Life Care Center in Kirkland, Wash., to the balconies of Tehran and the streets of China. Together, they offer a sense of how COVID-19 is forcing regular people around the world to adapt to a new reality.
從美國(guó)華盛頓州受疫情影響嚴(yán)重的柯克蘭療養(yǎng)院(下圖二),到伊朗德黑蘭的陽(yáng)臺(tái)(下圖五)、中國(guó)的街巷(下圖三),該系列包含六張封面,分別展現(xiàn)了受疫情直接影響的人物的肖像,讓讀者感受到疫情之下世界各地的普通人是如何被迫接受、適應(yīng)新的現(xiàn)實(shí)的。
這其中大部分是疫情中的隔離者、感染者及其親友。而中國(guó)外賣騎手因?yàn)椤胺欠驳氖姑校╮emarkable sense of commitment)”被《時(shí)代周刊》關(guān)注。
在《時(shí)代周刊》同步發(fā)出的短片中,來(lái)自寧夏、在北京工作的高治曉說(shuō),“說(shuō)實(shí)話,我每天也會(huì)感到彷徨和擔(dān)心。但我知道,我是在幫助更多的人,這才是讓我感到最開心的。”
《時(shí)代周刊》還專門對(duì)北京、武漢兩位外賣小哥為代表的騎手做了報(bào)道。
每天一百多公里,完成六七十單
自從新冠肺炎在中國(guó)暴發(fā)以來(lái),外賣騎手的工作方式發(fā)生了很大變化?!稌r(shí)代周刊》在封面上對(duì)高治曉的介紹語(yǔ)為:
Beijing. Gao Zhixiao, 32, a delivery driver who has continued working as the virus spread across China.
北京。高治曉,32歲,一位在病毒肆虐中國(guó)時(shí)仍堅(jiān)守崗位的外賣騎手。
Ever since the COVID-19 outbreak erupted in China, the delivery driver has to take a health test each morning and spend 20 minutes disinfecting his motorcycle and clothes to avoid spreading germs during his route.
自從中國(guó)疫情暴發(fā)以來(lái),外賣騎手高治曉每天早上必須接受健康檢查,然后花20分鐘為自己的摩托車和衣服消毒,避免病毒傳播。

美團(tuán)外賣在一些城市的食品和生活必需品銷售額飆升了400%。在線零售商京東商城的廚房用品、烘焙產(chǎn)品和家庭健身設(shè)備的訂單激增。
而和高治曉一樣的外賣員則肩負(fù)著巨大的責(zé)任。他們穿梭在大街小巷,冒著比常人更高的感染幾率,完成一筆筆訂單。
他們和醫(yī)生、護(hù)士、警察一樣,在保障著社會(huì)的正常運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)。
高治曉告訴《時(shí)代周刊》:“人們選擇網(wǎng)購(gòu)食品,或者購(gòu)買食材在家里做。因此,我的工作量增加了?!?/p>
疫情期間,高治曉每天要跑一百多公里,派送四五十單到六七十單。報(bào)道稱,如果沒(méi)有在危險(xiǎn)中挺身而出的外賣騎手們,很多家庭會(huì)挨餓,病人也無(wú)法得到賴以生存的物資供給。

報(bào)道注意到,以往外賣騎手會(huì)直接從飯館取貨,一路送到顧客的手上。疫情下,外賣和快遞都要求“無(wú)接觸”配送。
雖然人與人的直接接觸減少了,但《時(shí)代周刊》稱這并沒(méi)有削弱外賣騎手的人性關(guān)懷。

高治曉說(shuō),他曾幫助過(guò)一位患有糖尿病的老人,給她送胰島素。他先去了老太太家里拿處方,再到醫(yī)院拿藥,最后把救命藥送到老人家中。
“After I gave her medicine, I stayed to talk to her,” he says. “Because I am also from a single-parent family, I understand what it means to be old and living alone. She said that she hadn’t eaten yet, because it was difficult to find food during the epidemic. So I made her instant noodles and two poached eggs, then took the trash out when I left.”
“我把藥送給她,然后和她聊了一會(huì)兒,”高治曉說(shuō),“我來(lái)自一個(gè)單親家庭,我明白獨(dú)居老人的感受。老太太說(shuō)她還沒(méi)吃飯,疫情期間購(gòu)買食品比以往麻煩些,所以我給她煮了方便面,打了兩個(gè)荷包蛋。離開時(shí),幫她把垃圾倒了?!?/p>
高治曉還曾往收治新冠肺炎確診患者的醫(yī)院送過(guò)快遞。
當(dāng)時(shí),他給醫(yī)院的一位顧客送手機(jī)充電器,這家醫(yī)院里有一名確診患者,有的騎手因?yàn)閾?dān)心自己感染而拒絕了訂單。但高治曉還是去了,他說(shuō)如果沒(méi)有娛樂(lè),那病人該多無(wú)聊。
He sympathized with how bored the patient would be without entertainment, he says.
徒步12小時(shí),回武漢送外賣
在疫情重災(zāi)區(qū)湖北,有一名外賣騎手步行12小時(shí)從老家返回武漢工作。
96年出生李豐杰是武漢的一名外賣騎手,本來(lái)已經(jīng)回孝感過(guò)春節(jié)的他看到武漢疫情新聞后,坐立難安。當(dāng)時(shí)湖北通行道路關(guān)閉,火車、客車均已停運(yùn)。于是李豐杰初一早上7點(diǎn),吃過(guò)早餐后就開始徒步向武漢進(jìn)發(fā)。
從天亮一直走到天黑,他沒(méi)有停下休息。進(jìn)入武漢時(shí),設(shè)卡的人告訴他“進(jìn)了武漢就不能出來(lái)了”。他最終花了近12個(gè)小時(shí),步行50公里,抵達(dá)武漢配送的一線。
Li Fengjie took things a few steps further. As a Meituan rider in the Hubei province capital of Wuhan, where the COVID-19 epidemic first erupted in late December, he knew that his services would be essential after the city of 11 million was locked down on Jan 23. Li walked 30 miles to get to work after all public transport was halted.
他說(shuō)回武漢就是想和隊(duì)友一起為武漢人送一份熱乎乎的飯,“各地的人都來(lái)支援武漢。我覺(jué)得這件事跟我有關(guān)系,我不應(yīng)該繼續(xù)在家里?!?/p>
“I felt a sense of responsibility because I manage a team of other riders, and some were still working in Wuhan, so I had to help them,” he says. “All the doctors and nurses are coming to Wuhan to help, so we, the riders, should also fight with them on the frontline.”
“我有一種責(zé)任感,因?yàn)槲沂窒逻€管理著一個(gè)騎士小隊(duì),他們中有些人還在武漢工作,所以我必須幫助他們。
所有的醫(yī)生和護(hù)士都來(lái)到武漢幫忙,所以我們這些騎手也應(yīng)該和他們?cè)谇熬€一起戰(zhàn)斗?!?/p>
越來(lái)越多的人開始理解和尊重
這些外賣騎手的經(jīng)歷讓《時(shí)代周刊》感嘆他們所展現(xiàn)出的“非凡的使命感”。
報(bào)道說(shuō),外賣騎手的工資不高,如果被投訴還要被罰款。但疫情暴發(fā)讓他們?cè)诠娦闹械牡匚徊粩嗵岣撸╰he COVID-19 outbreaks have seen drivers’status rise),得到了更多理解和尊重。
報(bào)道提到了兩個(gè)細(xì)節(jié):
一是疫情暴發(fā)以來(lái),用戶給外賣小哥“打賞”的小費(fèi),是原來(lái)的3倍(Meituan says tips given to drivers by customers have tripled since the outbreak)。
二是有一名用戶在微博上寫道,“被困在家里,感覺(jué)挺絕望的。但從窗外看到了外賣騎手,讓我燃起了一絲希望”。( “Stuck in my house, I feel really desperate, but seeing delivery riders outside my window gives me some hope.”)
而這種使命感很難在西方國(guó)家的快遞行業(yè)者身上看到。
由于美國(guó)的外賣和出租車司機(jī)沒(méi)有失業(yè)和醫(yī)療保障,也沒(méi)有病假,很多人的工作積極性受到打擊。而他們?cè)谝咔槠陂g工作,大多也是迫于生計(jì)。一位美國(guó)拼車司機(jī)告訴媒體,每天工作都要在“安全和謀生之間做出選擇”。
“The majority of people are staying home, but we don’t have that luxury,” he says. “Every day, we have to choose between being safe and making a living.”
他說(shuō):“大多數(shù)人都待在家里,但我們沒(méi)有那種奢侈。每天,我們都要在安全和謀生之間做出選擇?!?/p>
對(duì)于自己登上《時(shí)代周刊》封面一事,高治曉表示非常欣喜,他認(rèn)為自己只是一個(gè)小人物,但希望能通過(guò)自己微小的力量和《時(shí)代周刊》的報(bào)道讓西方社會(huì)了解到中國(guó)人強(qiáng)大的凝聚力。
中國(guó)政府也對(duì)外賣騎手群體給予了更多官方認(rèn)可。2月25日,中國(guó)人力資源和社會(huì)保障部發(fā)布了16個(gè)新職業(yè),其中就包含外賣騎手,即 “網(wǎng)約配送員” 。
報(bào)道稱,這意味著外賣騎手們將在未來(lái)得到更好的培訓(xùn)和工作條件,有更多的就業(yè)、職業(yè)發(fā)展機(jī)會(huì)。
It’s the first revision to the list since 2015 and should mean better training, working conditions, job opportunities and career development for riders in the future.
