1. Lucky Bamboo

As its name suggests, the plant has something to do with luck.The nearly indestructible plant is said to be able to bring fortune to your home. In Chinese, the plant is called fugui zhu – "fugui" for "wealth and rank", and "zhu" for "bamboo". The plant can thrive in many conditions, either in soil or in water. It's perfect for people who do not possess green fingers.

Its true flower is actually the spadix which looks like a spiky stem. It's considered a lucky plant, but be careful: it's toxic, and ingestion of peace lily can cause vomiting and other irritations.
