Many soon-to-be brides and grooms in China are calling for civil affairs authorities to work one extra day on Feb 2, a Sunday, so they can tie the knot on the special day, a perfectly symmetric date.
許多準新人呼吁民政部門在2月2日那個周日加一天班，方便他們在這個特別的"完全對稱日"里領證結婚。

The date, which is written as 20200202 on the Chinese calendar, is the same when read backward or forward.
今年2月2日在中國日歷上的寫法為20200202，正著讀反著讀都完全一樣。

Besides, Chinese people often like to get married on an even date as they believe that good things come in pairs.
除此之外，中國人通常喜歡在雙數(shù)日結婚，因為相信好事成雙。

Therefore, the date has been labeled "the best day to get a marriage license" by netizens.
因此，2020年2月2日這一天被網(wǎng)友稱作"最佳領證日"。

In response, civil affairs authorities in 12 cities, including Xi'an, Chengdu, and Wuhan, said they would work overtime to register newlyweds.
作為回應，包括西安、成都、武漢在內的12個城市的民政部門表示2月2日當天將安排加班，為準新人辦理結婚登記。

An academic study led by a former Bank of England economist has pinpointed the precise age of peak unhappiness in the developed world as 47.2 years old and in the developing nations, 48.2.
近日，前英格蘭銀行經濟學家大衛(wèi)·布蘭奇弗洛爾牽頭的一項學術研究精確給出了發(fā)達國家和發(fā)展中國家居民最不幸福的確切年齡，分別為47.2歲和48.2歲。

Professor David Blanchflower studied data across 132 countries to measure the relationship between wellbeing and age.

He concluded that in every country there is a "happiness curve" which is U-shaped over lifetimes.

The curve reaches its lowest in the developing nations at 48.2. The curve for developed nations gives a similar minimum of 47.2.

This strengthened his theory that misery in middle age "feels like a universal constant".

China's GDP is expected to near 100 trillion yuan in 2019, with per capita GDP of more than $10,000, Ning Jizhe, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at the annual meeting of China's macro economy.
近日，國家發(fā)展改革委副主任寧吉喆在中國宏觀經濟年會上表示，2019年我國國內生產總值(GDP)預計接近100萬億元，人均GDP預計將首次超過1萬美元。

Ning said that in 2019, economic indicators such as consumer price index, newly added jobs, resident income, and renminbi exchange rate all maintained at reasonable levels.
寧吉喆稱，2019年居民價格消費指數(shù)、新增就業(yè)、居民收入、人民幣匯率等經濟指標均處于合理區(qū)間。

China's per capita GDP exceeding $10,000 not only means income of China's people and enterprises have increased, it also marks a significant progress in human history, Ning said.
我國人均GDP超過1萬美元不僅意味著國民和企業(yè)的收入增加，更是人類歷史上的重大進步。

He said, based on data released by the World Bank in 2018, there were 1.6 billion people with per capita GDP above $10,000.

>Collapsing road kills 9
西寧路面塌陷九人遇難

The sudden collapse of a road into a sinkhole in Xining, Qinghai province, on Monday killed nine people, authorities said.
有關部門表示，13日青海省西寧市突然發(fā)生的路面坍塌事故已造成9人死亡。

The accident happened at around 5:30 pm, when a road section collapsed on Nandajie Street. A public bus fell into the hole and an explosion ensued, according to the city's emergency management bureau.
西寧市應急管理局表示，13日下午5時30分左右，南大街一處路面發(fā)生坍塌事故，一輛公交車掉入坑中，之后發(fā)生爆炸。

An investigation into the collapse is underway. Local authorities said at a news conference that more than 1,000 rescuers participated in the effort to save people.
路面塌陷的原因仍在調查中。當?shù)卣谛侣劙l(fā)布會上表示，已安排1000余人參與救援。

The Ministry of Emergency Management has dispatched a team to Xining for rescue and investigation, the ministry said. It also urged governments to roll out corrective measures to prevent road collapses in urban areas.
應急管理部稱，已派出工作組趕赴西寧指導事故救援和調查，并督促各地政府出臺整改措施，防范城市出現(xiàn)地面塌陷的情況。
