A unique "gem-inside-a-gem" diamond thought to be over 800 million years old has been found in Siberia. The "priceless" jewel weighs just 0.62 carats and is the first diamond of that nature to ever be found.
近日，人們在西伯利亞發(fā)現(xiàn)一顆奇特的"鉆中鉆"。這顆無價之寶僅重0.62克拉，據(jù)信已有超過8億年的歷史，是有史以來發(fā)現(xiàn)的第一顆具有這種特質(zhì)的鉆石。
Inside, a tiny nested diamond moves freely and has an estimated weight of 0.02 carats.

The so-called "Matryoshka" diamond is named because it resembles traditional Russian nesting dolls.

The find - visible on X-ray - was announced by Russian diamond giant Alrosa.

No value has been put on the one-of-a-kind discovery.

Alrosa spokesperson Oleg Kovalchuk said: "As far as we know, there were no such diamonds in the history of global diamond mining yet. This is really a unique creation of nature, especially since nature does not like emptiness. Usually, some minerals are replaced by others without cavity formation."
阿爾羅薩發(fā)言人奧列格?科瓦爾丘克表示: "據(jù)我們所知，在全球鉆石開采史上尚未出現(xiàn)過這樣的鉆石。這確實是大自然異乎尋常的杰作，因為大自然不喜歡在他的作品中留空當，通常，某些礦物質(zhì)會被其它礦物質(zhì)所取代，不會留下空腔。"

Three patriotic films that premiered on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC), "My People, My Country", "The Captain" and "The Climber", became the biggest winners of the National Day holiday period.

By Monday, the last day of the seven-day holiday, the three films led the Chinese mainland box office, grossing 2.08 billion yuan, 1.82 billion yuan and 770 million yuan, respectively, according to Chinese ticketing platform and box-office tracker Maoyan.

>28 Chinese entities on US list
商務(wù)部回應(yīng)美清單事件
The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on Tuesday said China firmly opposes the US adding 28 Chinese entities to its "Entity List" and urges the US side to remove them from the list as soon as possible.
商務(wù)部8日表示，中國堅決反對美國將28家中國實體列入"實體清單"，并敦促美方盡快將相關(guān)中國實體移出"實體清單"。
For a long time, the US has frequently imposed unilateral sanctions on Chinese entities according to its domestic law, and this time, under the guise of human rights, it imposed sanctions on 28 Chinese local government agencies and Chinese enterprises by adding them to the "Entity List." Meanwhile, it seized the opportunity to slander and defame China's governance policies in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and grossly interfered in China's internal affairs, a spokesperson with the MOC said. "The Chinese side is strongly dissatisfied with and firmly opposed to that," the spokesperson noted.

The Chinese side strongly urges the US to immediately stop making irresponsible remarks on Xinjiang, stop wrong actions of interfering in China's internal affairs, and remove relevant Chinese entities from the "Entity List" as soon as possible, said the spokesperson.
我們強烈敦促美方立即停止在涉疆問題上說三道四，停止干涉中國內(nèi)政的錯誤行徑，盡快將相關(guān)中國實體移出"實體清單"。
"The Chinese side will also take all necessary measures to resolutely safeguard its own interests," said the spokesperson.

>Horticulture expo ends
2019北京世園會閉幕
The Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition held its closing ceremony, themed "Ode to Harvest", on Wednesday night in the city's Yanqing district.
2019年中國北京世界園藝博覽會于9日晚在延慶舉行主題為"收獲的禮贊"的閉幕式。
The exhibition hosted nearly 3,300 activities and attracted 9.34 million visitors from home and abroad during its 162-day run. It has brought together exhibitors from 110 countries and international organizations, as well as more than 120 unofficial exhibitors, for indoor displays and outdoor gardening.
在為期162天的展覽期間，北京世園會舉辦了近3300場活動，吸引了934萬國內(nèi)外游客，共有110個國家和國際組織、120余個非官方參展者參與室內(nèi)展覽以及室外園藝展示。
After the expo, the park will serve as an education center to display achievements in ecological civilization and convey the importance of nature, plants and environmental protection to the next generation.
