中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習(xí)近平近日對我國技能選手在第45屆世界技能大賽上取得佳績作出重要指示。習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，技術(shù)工人隊伍是支撐中國制造、中國創(chuàng)造的重要基礎(chǔ)，對推動經(jīng)濟(jì)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展具有重要作用。要在全社會弘揚(yáng)精益求精的工匠精神，激勵廣大青年走技能成才、技能報國之路。
President Xi Jinping has urged young people to carry forward craftsmanship and strive for excellence to serve the country. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in a written instruction to congratulate Chinese contestants on their good results at the 45th WorldSkills Competition. Xi stressed that technical workers serve as an important foundation supporting made-in-China and created-in-China, and play a key role in high-quality economic growth.

世界技能大賽（WorldSkills Competition，WSC）是迄今全球地位最高、規(guī)模最大、影響力最大的職業(yè)技能競賽，被譽(yù)為“世界技能奧林匹克”，其競技水平代表了職業(yè)技能發(fā)展的世界先進(jìn)水平，是世界技能組織成員展示和交流職業(yè)技能的重要平臺。世界技能大賽由世界技能組織（WorldSkills International，WSI）舉辦，每兩年一屆。今年8月，在俄羅斯喀山舉行的第45屆世界技能大賽上，我國選手共獲得16金14銀5銅和17個優(yōu)勝獎，位列金牌榜、獎牌榜、團(tuán)體總分第一名。第46屆世界技能大賽將于2021年9月在上海舉行。
