>CPI up 2.8% in August

China's consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.8% year-on-year in August, the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday. The growth rate was unchanged from that in July. The CPI in urban and rural areas registered a year-on-year growth of 2.8% and 3.1%, respectively.
國家統(tǒng)計局10日表示，8月份全國居民消費價格指數(shù)(CPI)同比上漲2.8%，漲幅與上月持平，其中，城市上漲2.8%，農(nóng)村上漲3.1%。
