中共中央總書記、國(guó)家主席、中央軍委主席習(xí)近平近日對(duì)全國(guó)道德模范表彰活動(dòng)作出重要指示。

Extending congratulations to the role models, Xi said the honoring is of great significance in improving social norms, promoting positive energy and encouraging people to strive for excellence and virtue.
習(xí)近平向受表彰的全國(guó)道德模范致以熱烈的祝賀，他指出，中央文明委評(píng)選表彰新一屆全國(guó)道德模范，這對(duì)倡導(dǎo)好風(fēng)尚、弘揚(yáng)正能量、促進(jìn)全社會(huì)向上向善具有十分重要的意義。

The role models' stories should be widely spread and people should be guided to learn from them, Xi said.
習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，要廣泛宣傳道德模范的先進(jìn)事跡，引導(dǎo)人們向道德模范學(xué)習(xí)。

Stressing the importance of nurturing and practicing core socialist values, Xi called for efforts to raise public ethical standards and enhance work ethics, family virtues and personal integrity, and demanded a powerful source of strength and strong moral support for the hard work to realize the Chinese Dream in the new era.
要培育和踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀，推進(jìn)社會(huì)公德、職業(yè)道德、家庭美德、個(gè)人品德建設(shè)，為奮進(jìn)新時(shí)代、共筑中國(guó)夢(mèng)提供強(qiáng)大精神力量和道德支撐。

Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, met with representatives of the award-winning models at a symposium held in Beijing Thursday.

Xi's instruction was read out at the symposium by Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.

At Thursday's symposium, a decision to honor 58 people as ethical role models was announced, while recognition was also given to another 257 nominees for the awards.
