We may have suspected it already, but now the science backs it up: unmarried and childless women are the happiest subgroup in the population. And they are more likely to live longer than their married and child-rearing peers, according to a leading expert in happiness.
這件事可能早有人懷疑，但如今有了科學(xué)依據(jù)：未婚無娃的女性是最幸福的人群。而且，幸福研究權(quán)威專家稱，這部分女性比那些已婚有孩的女性更長壽。

Paul Dolan, a professor of behavioral science at the London School of Economics, said the latest evidence showed that the traditional markers used to measure success did not correlate with happiness - particularly marriage and raising children.

Dolan said men showed more health benefits from tying the knot, as they took fewer risks. But women's health was mostly unaffected by marriage, with middle-aged married women even being at higher risk of physical and mental conditions than their single counterparts.

The Ministry of Education has warned students and scholars who plan to study in the US to be fully aware of and prepared for the risk of possible visa restrictions, as more students are running into problems.
教育部近日發(fā)出警告，提醒計(jì)劃赴美求學(xué)的學(xué)生和學(xué)者充分了解可能出現(xiàn)的簽證限制風(fēng)險(xiǎn)，并為此做好準(zhǔn)備。

For example, longer waits are required for visa issuance, valid dates have been shortened and the visa rejection rate is on the rise, it said.
越來越多的計(jì)劃赴美學(xué)生正遭遇簽證審查周期延長、有效期縮短以及拒簽率上升等問題。

According to the China Scholarship Council, 182 government-funded students and scholars failed to get into the US because of visa restrictions from January to March - 13.5% of the total.
根據(jù)國家留學(xué)基金管理委員會的統(tǒng)計(jì)，今年1月至3月，中方計(jì)劃公派赴美留學(xué)人員中有182人因簽證問題未能成行，占計(jì)劃派出人數(shù)的13.5%。

波音737曝零部件缺陷

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Sunday revealed a new problem involving the grounded Boeing 737 MAX planes.
2日，美國聯(lián)邦航空局曝出被停飛的波音737MAX飛機(jī)存在的一個(gè)新缺陷。

Boeing has informed FAA that certain 737 NG and 737 MAX leading edge slat tracks may have been improperly manufactured and may not meet all applicable regulatory requirements for strength and durability, according to the FAA statement.
聯(lián)邦航空局在聲明中稱，波音公司已經(jīng)通知聯(lián)邦航空局，部分波音737 NG和波音737 MAX上使用的前緣縫翼導(dǎo)軌可能存在制造缺陷，無法滿足所有監(jiān)管機(jī)構(gòu)對其強(qiáng)度和耐久性的要求。

Following an investigation conducted by Boeing and FAA Certificate Management Office, "we have determined that up to 148 parts manufactured by a Boeing sub-tier supplier are affected, covering 179 Boeing 737 MAX planes and 133 Boeing 737 NG planes worldwide," said an FAA statement.

>China to enter world of 5G
我國將發(fā)放5G商用牌照

China will soon grant 5G licenses for commercial use, the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said Monday.
工業(yè)和信息化部3日稱，我國將于近期發(fā)放5G商用牌照。

China's 5G industry has built a competitive edge by combining independent innovation and open cooperation, the MIIT said, adding that 5G standards are unified international standards jointly established by global industry players and China now owns more than 30% of the standard essential patents for the technology.
工信部稱，堅(jiān)持自主創(chuàng)新與開放合作相結(jié)合，我國5G產(chǎn)業(yè)已建立競爭優(yōu)勢。5G標(biāo)準(zhǔn)是全球產(chǎn)業(yè)界共同參與制定的統(tǒng)一國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，我國聲明的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)必要專利占比超過30%。

Foreign enterprises including Nokia, Ericsson, Qualcomm and Intel have been deeply involved in the experiment of the technologies, and China's 5G is ready for commercial use thanks to the joint efforts from various parties, according to the MIIT.
在技術(shù)試驗(yàn)階段，諾基亞、愛立信、高通、英特爾等多家國外企業(yè)已深度參與，在各方共同努力下，我國5G已經(jīng)具備商用基礎(chǔ)。

China, as always, welcomes enterprises at home and abroad to actively participate in the building, application and promotion of its 5G network and share the sector's development dividends, the MIIT said.
工信部表示，我國一如既往地歡迎國內(nèi)外企業(yè)積極參與我國5G網(wǎng)絡(luò)建設(shè)和應(yīng)用推廣，共同分享我國5G發(fā)展成果。
