>Bezos to give half of wealth
MacKenzie Bezos, worth more than $36 billion after divorcing Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, announced on Tuesday that she will give at least half of her fortune to charity.
Bezos's promise came by signing the Giving Pledge, an initiative founded in 2010 by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett that encourages the world's wealthiest people to donate more than half of their wealth to charitable causes.
"In addition to whatever assets life has nurtured in me, I have a disproportionate amount of money to share," Bezos wrote in a letter announcing her pledge. "My approach to philanthropy will continue to be thoughtful. It will take time and effort and care. But I won't wait. And I will keep at it until the safe is empty."

In a news conference, Foreign Minister Taro Kono said he plans to ask overseas news outlets to write Japanese names with the family name first and given name second - as is the convention in Japan.
"I plan to ask international media organizations to do this. Domestic media outlets that have English services should consider it, too," he said, according to Kyodo News.
Kono noted that news organizations generally give Chinese and South Korean names with the family name first, as in South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
His efforts to get the world to say Japanese names in the Japanese style seems in part to be a matter of timing.
Japan will soon play host to a number of major international events: the G20 summit next month, the Rugby World Cup in the fall, and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo next summer.
It's not clear what Prime Minister Shinzo Abe - or Abe Shinzo - makes of the suggestion to change.

Huawei told Reuters on Friday that FedEx diverted two packages sent from Japan and addressed to Huawei in China to the US, and attempted to divert two more packages sent from Vietnam to Huawei offices elsewhere in Asia, all without authorization, providing images of FedEx tracking records.
FedEx China on Tuesday apologized on its Chinese social media account for the "mishandling" of Huawei packages and said there was no "external pressure" to divert packages.
