今年五一期間，多名網(wǎng)友發(fā)文稱(chēng)，在山東淄博火車(chē)站和南京火車(chē)站遇到已經(jīng)購(gòu)票但無(wú)法上火車(chē)的情況。

Many passengers complained on China's social media platforms that they had bought tickets in advance, but were denied boarding by railway staff because of overloading－the result of some passengers buying short distance tickets but refusing to get off at their corresponding destinations.
很多乘客在社交媒體上抱怨稱(chēng)，他們提前買(mǎi)了票，但是列車(chē)員以超員為由不讓他們上車(chē)，而超員的原因是部分乘客“買(mǎi)短乘長(zhǎng)”的行為，即購(gòu)買(mǎi)了短途車(chē)票，但是到站后不下車(chē)。

“買(mǎi)短乘長(zhǎng)（boarding with short-distance tickets but traveling to farther destinations）”本來(lái)是鐵路部門(mén)為滿(mǎn)足部分乘客臨時(shí)變更到站的需要而提供的應(yīng)急便利措施，這一類(lèi)乘客可以在途中找列車(chē)員辦理補(bǔ)票手續(xù)（pay to extend their tickets）。

但是在出行高峰期，“買(mǎi)短乘長(zhǎng)”行為增多則會(huì)損害提前購(gòu)票乘客的合法權(quán)益。

中國(guó)鐵路總公司5日表示，為確保鐵路運(yùn)輸安全秩序，維護(hù)良好旅行環(huán)境，鐵路部門(mén)會(huì)根據(jù)客流情況，決定是否辦理越站補(bǔ)票手續(xù)。

The railway will decide whether to allow passengers to purchase extension tickets after boarding based on the current passenger numbers and the number of pre-sold tickets for the next station.
鐵路工作人員會(huì)根據(jù)當(dāng)前車(chē)內(nèi)人數(shù)、前方站預(yù)售車(chē)票情況，決定是否辦理越站補(bǔ)票手續(xù)。

Passengers who insist on staying aboard but fail to pay for the extended trip will be charged an extra 50 percent of the extension ticket price upon arrival.
如果旅客沒(méi)有按規(guī)定補(bǔ)票強(qiáng)行越站乘車(chē)，到站后鐵路部門(mén)將加收已乘區(qū)間應(yīng)補(bǔ)票價(jià)50%的票款。
