在今天的兩會特別報道《全球關(guān)注 中國解答》視頻系列里，中國日報記者專訪了外交部原副部長、國務(wù)院僑辦原副主任何亞非，請他解讀當(dāng)今世界面臨著什么樣的挑戰(zhàn)，以及中國在應(yīng)對這些挑戰(zhàn)中扮演著什么樣的角色。

In today's episode of China Daily's “two sessions” coverage, we talk about China's foreign policy with He Yafei, former vice-minister of foreign affairs and former deputy director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. We asked him what kind of challenges the world is facing today, and what China’s role is in dealing with those challenges.

在何亞非看來，目前國際形勢充滿不確定性，世界面臨的挑戰(zhàn)主要來自于經(jīng)濟(jì)增長日益疲軟（growing weakness in growth），許多國家內(nèi)部社會分歧的加深（a deepening divide within societies），以及大國競爭日益激烈（increasingly intense rivalry among major powers）。

面對這些挑戰(zhàn)，中國秉持著和平、發(fā)展、合作的理念，提出“中國方案”。

How can we make the transition of global order a smooth one with less trouble, with less confrontation. That has been the focus of China's foreign policy.
如何實現(xiàn)全球秩序平穩(wěn)過渡，少麻煩，少對抗，這一直是中國外交政策的焦點。

We believe without relative global peace, there's no chance for the world economy to grow continuously. So we are all in this together.
因為我們相信沒有相對的全球和平，世界經(jīng)濟(jì)不可能持續(xù)增長。所以我們患難與共。

We need to move forward with a clear objective that is to maintain long-term peace, to create better economic opportunities and promote economic prosperity for everyone.
我們需要朝著一個明確的目標(biāo)前進(jìn)，那就是維持長期和平，創(chuàng)造更好的經(jīng)濟(jì)機(jī)會，促進(jìn)各國經(jīng)濟(jì)繁榮。

At the same time we should try our best to, if not eliminate, at least reduce inequality, reduce the gap between the rich and poor, so people can have a better sense of safety for their future.
同時，我們應(yīng)該盡最大努力，如果不能消除，至少要減少不平等，縮小貧富差距，這樣人們就能對未來有更強的安全感。
